The Presidential and National Assembly have come and gone and all the political gladiators have gone back to prepare for the Gubernatorial and State Assemby elections. In Nasarawa state, President Muhammadu Buhari for the very first time won the elections as the APC got the highest number of votes, although slim some might add. The APC also came out victorious in all three Senatorial zones, with the current Deputy Speaker of the state house of assembly, Godiya Akwashiki winning the Nasarawa North Senatorial district against all odds. The Gubernatorial elections in Nasarawa state looks to be a very dicey one as there exists three contending candidates, all looking set to slug it out on Saturday.
