My lovely Ondo state has been surfacing in the news recently. That's a good thing I guess. I like Akeredolu but his decision making at times baffles me. He should just do better and not allow anyone to instigate him to work against the progress of the Yorubas. Not even his wife should be allowed to.

My Ondo people are peculiar among Yoruba whether we like or not. Ondo state will be the last state in which Tinubu will install his stooge. He tried it in the past but he failed. The time he supported Ateki was the time he came third in gubernatorial election. So until now Tinubu had not been able to lay hold of ondo state government, maybe he will succeed doing it later in future, remain to be seen

Even as it is, Tinubu is the 2nd most influential person in APC in Ondo State, and he doesn't even bother much with the State.

Aketi should be well regarded, but a lot of people in the State just don't get him, which I think is unfortunate. I actually think he has good intentions, but he hasn't helped himself as he doesn't appear to engage well with the people he governs. Communication is very important in Politics.

From what I hear, he is doing reasonably well, but he does not pursue populist policies like most Nigerian politicians do. I like that and this should be a plus for him. However, in Nigerian politics, that could be a problem and I think that's what he's facing now.

It can never happen my brother. He is supposed to forget about that state by now. We would rather pick an unknown party than godfatherism thriving.

Akeredolu is a lawyer who valued Human Rights unlike tinubu who is corrupt. Akeredolu will surely get second term whether the youths like it or not

bros biko don't shook mouth in what you don't know. Tinubu is not regarded anywhere in Ondo state, he has tried times without number, he failed woefully, it can't be possible for him. Ondo state hates godfatherism with passion. And you talking about state APC is where the problem is. Aketi isn't in good terms with APC in general and it's affecting him badly in the state. He can't be greater than Tinubu as far as APC is concerned either state or nation wise. I think the best thing for him to do right now is to decamp so he can have peace of mind carrying out his duties. He can try PDP, if he continue in this confused state he is, he'd loose his re-election bid or even APC wouldn't give him the ticket self.

So how come Borofice, who was 'imposed' by Tinubu was the only APC Senator who won 2 weeks ago. The candidate supported by Akeredolu lost. And PDP also won the other 2 senatorial seats.

There's no widespread hatred of Tinubu there as you allege. His radio station Adaba fm is one of the most popular stations for politics in the State, and a major player in Akeredolu's victory 2 yrs ago, despite the latter being at odds with the owner.

If Tinubu presents the right candidate at the right time, the candidate will win. Though it's difficult to see an APC victory in the next gubernatorial election.
