His record looks solid though I rarely follow anything below middleweight so I can't say how good he is for sure
Lots of interesting fights in the lower divisions across different divisions bro . You should check it out

That boy looking like the real deal. Though I feel he might struggle against a grappler but he has this Jon Jones vibe.

I would like to see him face Romero, Gastellum or Whittaker for the belt since they both rep NZ
I would like to see Izzy fight two more MWs before he gets a shot.

But the top 5 are very dangerous ...murderous .

Let's not forget Paulo Costa is lurking in the background .

I am still wondering how romero fits into the middle wieght class of about 185. The guy is huge body wise compared to the like of Israel Adesanya.
Yeah Romero gets a lot shiiit ... accusations of using PEDS . But he's a great guy .

His problem is making weight .

To be honest the fight against Costa is going to be a war .

Only Whittaker has gotten beyond Romero in the octagon .
Re: Mixed Martial Arts Fan Thread: UFC, Bellator Etc by Nobody: 7:48am On Feb 18, 2019
The word on the grape vine is that Whittaker will be out till June , July but if he can't compete due to health issues ...there will be an interim champion .

Gastellum is clearly in the running seat for that .

I think it's still too early for Izzy tho . He's good but still too early .

UFC 235 tomorrow

In full support of Francis wink
Shocked he would choose to fight Ngannou after 2 years out. Terrible decision

Honestly, he doesn't even look fully fit.

He has a fight coming up in March against Woodley (One-Punch Man)... In as much as I support him based on fellow African, I think Woodley will defeat him.
I don't know for sure. Usman is pretty sound technically and I like his size advantage over Woodley. Looks like a fight that would go all the way ATBE

Who are the guys you would pick? I'd like to see him against Romero and Rockhold or Weidman. I'm fairly confident he can beat all of them bar Romero

Should have taken on maybe a Blaydes or Derrick Lewis which would even be risky maybe even Overeem who is older, slower and now sports a glass chin but Ngannou? That's just suicidal

Woodley's last opponent had a size advantage, can't exactly remember his name, but that punch from Woodley was very devastating, like super-devastating on him. That's my fear concerning Usman, it's not how much he can give, but how much can he take?

Looking forward to it anyway, sure to be a spectacle for us.

It's good for Ngannou's track record cheesy cheesy

The fight didn't even last 30seconds before he got knocked out grin..... and he now has a knee injury to deal with after being out for more than 2 years. Cain should just respectfully retire.

Been trying to mention your post on Whittaker but system keeps bringing up "Bad gateway error".

Will there be a fight to determine who the interim champion will be?

Or it'll be given based on track records?

Cain wanted to involve gidigbo and his knees gave way. That's the risk when fighting a bigger dude. For a guy that has been out that long he should have been a bit more cautious. Maybe he didn't trust his ability to last in a striking match with Ngannou (can't blame him)

I think there has to be a fight to determine the interim champ. Gastellum is the frontrunner but I suspect he would have to fight someone and not just have the belt handed to him

Actually na the blow make Cain Velasquez knee buckle. Ngannou is a friggin beast generating that KO power from such close distance

Exactly, he didn't see that punch coming and it heavily destabilized him, unfortunately, the knee that would have supported such a knockout doesn't have a good shock absorber again cheesy grin

Woah!!! shocked shocked shocked... Didn't see that coming at all, guess it's down to Adesanya's seeming disappointment at how UFC234 panned out.

Stylebender for the win!!!

I'm not surprised. Adesanya is arguably the most popular guy in the division. I knew he would be in the picture pretty soon

This card is fire!! The UFC can do no wrong right now

I want to see if Anthony Smith can survive those kicks and knees from Bones. The guy can take a beating sha but it would take a biblical miracle for him to survive Bones. Dude is complete, and those kicks! It's like fighting a giraffe

Nice picks bro!

But I think Zhang and Lawler would win!

Have you seen any of Zhang's fights?? She is a beast! Plus Torres is on a downward spiral at the moment.

This is a solid card though... my candidate for fight of the night is "who the fook is that guy" grin V Zabeast

I hardly watch the females fight lol, I just made that pick based on how I felt about their ruggedness in the picture grin.

Zabit is very good, first watched him at Karate Combat tournament, he moves so well.. looking forward to his win.

Jones will take out Smith definitely, except an upset occurs.

I literally fear Woodley because I've been his supporter for some time now, so I know pretty much how deadly he could be. He has successfully defended his title against four challengers!, that's a real champ right there. Coupled with his ability to deliver a knockout punch, I call him One-Punch Man cheesy.
But based on Nigerian affiliations, I'm supporting Usman in this fight, and he fights very well, so I believe he can beat Woodley, with the added height advantage.

Hail your first ever UFC African Champion!! King Kamaru Usman!!!

Saw an interview of Jon Jones talking about fighting Israel Adesanya if he moved up to Light Heavyweight from Middleweight. Agbaya! Why not move up to Heavyweight and fight the likes of Ngannou, Lewis, Velasquez and Curtis Blaydes

Lol he has absolutely nothing left to prove at LH is what I feel. To be the Undisputed GOAT I think he should try out at Heavyweight. He actually has a sturdy chin and is probably more technically gifted than 90% of the heavyweights out there. Maybe he is scared of the Knockout artists that could nullify his skills but surely he must look at Cormier and feel he has a shot
