Dear Nairalanders, I have been offered an admission to study Finance at Master level at Dublin Institute of Technology, I am really confused at this stage as many people i have met keep making derogatory comments about Ireland and its economy misfortune mostly to foreign students after their program. I have a good paying job here in Nigeria and married with 2 kids but my intention is to remain permanently after my studies so that my family will be able to join me thereafter after my stay has been regularized. I will need a candid advise from someone who is currently living in Ireland as a student to advise me on my decision. Any idea will be appreciated.

Please don't listen to those lazy ass jobless people. Just follow your dream, be focused and determined. It's not about what anybody says. I was in your shoes before, coupled with the fact that i didn't even have the opportunity that you had now then. I just hate reading comments like this. I've heard hundreds of this years ago before i came to Ireland 10 years ago from the UK. Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth. Your self-worth isn’t defined by an approval rating. Nobody know your journey, where you’ve been or where you’re heading. Trust your intuition and who you are deep down inside.. + keep praying... Simple!

Thanks for your contribution. I was really hopeful and have no doubt in me that I will succeed in my journey until about 3 days people I know both outside and within Nigeria start discouraging my intention. Once more, your advise is really appreciated.

Nothing like 100% sure. Reapply if you believe your condition has change since your last application.

Good evening Gurus in the house,
Please I really need your advice on this. Apply for a tourist visa and I was refused with an appeal option.
I sent in my appeal on 13th of December and I haven't heard from them but my headache is that my travelling date is 13th of January and my hotel must be cancel if am not going to travel on or before Saturday 12th January if not am going to be charged for the accommodation. Since my appeal is still in I don't want to cancel because it might affect the outcome and I also don't want to lose money due to untimely return of my passport.
Please help a brother, do I leave it or cancel??

Good morning guys, i applied for the join spouse visa 3rd week of April 2018. My wife is Irish citizen and over the past 6-7month no feedback from the embassy.

We submitted the following documents:
Wife- Irish passport (copy)
6month bank statement
Tax document
Letter from employer(Hospital)
Letter from Landlord
Invite letter

Husband- Application letter
International passport(virigin)
Bank statement covering 6months
Business certificate (CAC)
MARRIAGE certificate .
Relationship History
Phone call logs
Pictures(before, during and after) wedding.
Passport photograph.

Do we have reasons to be worried?
Could there be any bottlenecks?

I applied on the 6th of July 2018 and no reply yet.have u gotten your own visa?

Good day @ Dizzynet...
Please I have gone through your post and will need your assistance in getting admission at DIT and study visa process.
Did you finally use ielets or toefl when applying for student visa

Please i need your response.

dizzynet:
Hi Guys,

I am about sending in my application for study visa.

I just observed an "evidence of english level" requirement on the requirements page , and they require test results like ielts, toefl etc.

I was offered masters admission without having to submit any ielts or toefl certificate and so I never imagined It would be a compulsory visa requirement.

Please gurus in the house or anyone that has gotten approved study visa , is it compulsory to submit ielts or toefl results with visa application ??
