majority of mcu's blockbusters especially the 1billion+ hitters have higher ratings than Captain Marvel. I don't think it will be able to replicate their feats but should rake in good money.

A metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable

See first image. Also, take note of the word "not literally applicable"

Now, the words in your moniker is applicable because people can hate, just as we have people hating Nigerians. It is not new.

Logically, Captain Marvel being heavily criticised negatively is the handiwork of "DC Tards" right, if that is so, that means logically according to you, the criticism on Bvs, Suicide Squad and every other DCEU movies that have being heavily criticised negatively were done by "Marvel Tards". Case Close.

I understand, this is the first time a marvel/MCU movie is being heavily criticised negatively after a very long time, that's why Marvel Fans can't handle it because all their movies have always been praised and they think that's how it's gonna be and should be but dearie life doesn't work, Life is not all that rosy, sometime you gotcha experience tough times. The tides has change in the world of CBM, the time where all of Marvel/MCU movies are always been praised has passed, now they are gonna experience criticism, tons of it. We are in the era where critics immunity has faded, you do rubbish, you get criticise, that's why I will advice MCU fans to get use to Criticism because lots of MCU movies will be heavily criticised while tons of them will be heavily praised also. So my advice to MCU fans; Get use to criticism and avoid crying foul when your movies gets bashed.

DC fans are already use to criticism, that's why they are not shaken when a DCEU/ DC movie gets bashed, they just accept it in good faith. When their movies gets praised they rejoice in that. Marvel fans should learn from that. Learn to handle criticism because "THE TIDES ARE CHANGING".

Personally, I want Captain Marvel to be a Success, a huge one at that, I seriously do. Girl Power Thing. But with the look of things now................................, Well It may still end up doing well, it's a 50 50 thing but one thing I'm sure is that the minimum Captain Marvel will ever make is $600 million, nothing less than that.

Oh Sabrina. Are we going to sit back and behave as if the film wasn't going to get good reviews.

Remember Marvel can do no wrong.
However, with respect to this, I'm going to ignore the critics and go with the audience reaction.
I've learned not to depend on RT's score before seeing a movie.

That said, even though the RT score is looking great, it has been criticized for being a perfunctory, watchable fill-in-the-gap, marvel-phase-one kind of film. Simply put, nothing special about it. Brie Larson's performance in critics words was somewhat passive and meh.

The whole feminist thing doesn't even help its cause. I still maintain that this film will do Antman numbers at the BO. Infact, you know what, I'm going to say this: not trolling now. You can agree or not.
D.C has won with in the female led comic book film department. Look at how WW panned out and compare it to this. Now tell me if I'm wrong.

Marvel till my last breath.I am just being realistic.From the first time I saw the captain marvel first trailer,I had an inkling it wouldn't be a good movie and the critics have proven me right but it will still perform reasonably well at the box office
