The noise is from where? The coil side or the engine block side?

I can't say for sure. Someone said something about changing the exhaust

I'm not an expert in gen and just have little knowledge about it. Let the prof himself give you an appropriate answer to that wink

I'd say it depends on your appliances. It doesn't power a lot of things. So I try as much as possible to spend 1k only on fuel weekly.

Not too heavy appliances. Just sound system, led tv, ceiling fan and few energy saving bulbs

I meant my own doesn't power lots of things o. Just TV, fan, 3 bulbs and phones and rechargeable lamp. I'd say the fuel consumption is not much especially if you reduce the voltage to match your appliances and also use fewer electronics. It's a nice gen. wink

Good morning prof....Just bought Sumec Firman Generator (Spg 3000E2) and it consume fuel with no much load on it. I read all the pages of this thread before getting the Gen and I saw where you talk about reducing the firing of the Gen but am confuse on which to reduce between the two pictures below.

Good evening engineer, I just wish I could get an instant answer. As usual to most generator users our sumec Firman spg 3000 e2 just decided to misbehave tonight. It just suddenly dropped to a low voltage. Just like that...without any new load added. Is there any instant hack I could do to make it run normally. Thank you.

the black one, start the generator (you know the difference between tighting and loosing) what you are to do is lose the black screw the speed will be reducing to your required choice. I just did mine this evening

Nice thread. Nairaland is deeply rooted with useful informations sha. Not all those Nansense on front page.

Please Prof OP. A 1.3KVA generator. It will be powering a room and parlor self con.
4 bulbs (100W each)
TV, Soundbar, Blender, microwave, phones, laptop, powerbank, 2 ceiling fans
Medium sized Deep freezer
Like 1.5hp AC in the nearest future

Can such generator carry such load? And if no what type should I be looking out for? Thanks

I'd advise you don't mess with your Tec Jr Max. Use it as it is. Been using mine for 9 months, I didn't need to do of any that - fuel consumption is great.

You can adjust the Sumec Firman, not sure how much you need to, though. Prof might have something to say about that.
