Hello Oga GAZZUZZ

I replaced Honda Accord 1998 tranny and the replacement started leaking oil after a while. Unfortunately, I only noticed this after 2 months. The mechanic replaced the seal but the issue continued.

Later, they said it was the shaft cup at one end that was causing it. I spent some additional money but the issue persists. They later said its from inside the gear.

Please I want to know if the issue can actually be repaired or the transmission is gone for good. What do you think sir?

I have no idea. Oil lamp was flashing, had it serviced still flashing assumed it was bad. Sunday morning getting set for church lamp on, I put in oil, 3km later temp went to 100% stopped engine gone. Gazzuz abeg how much is the engine..

I have a challenge with my corolla.. was driving, just parked too greet someone, then when back too start it.. It started blinking check engine light and the car wasn't coming on. called a mechanic beside too kindly assist.. He checked and said it was the brain box, that it needs too be re-programmed with the key.. I just asked him too hold on, we found a safe place too keep the overnight.. Oil lamp isn't an oil bad warning, it's a low oil pressure warning. If your oil light comes on, stop immediately and get your car towed. Doing otherwise leaves you with a busted engine 95% of the time.

Sorry you had to learn the lesson the hard way.

it's a corolla 03/bank model and America spec. . I only recently changed the coil, because the transmission wasn't smooth which I did few days before this check engine light blink. lately I have also serviced the injectors, changed the air filter, fuel pump and I have also had to cut another key because the former cut inside the ignition pack. It was actually going off while driving a times and when I put on the a/c on. I will have too snap the engine bay tomorrow when I get back to the location. those are the most I can remember for now but any question you ask I might be able too answer. Engine will burn oil if I4
Transmission is the legendary 13pin with failure issues.
A/c is legendary for failure.

You are better of with the 2010 camry I4.

The 2008 accord is perfect if you get a good one (I4 2.4 liter only)

plan to buy a Camry (03-06) or a Matrix XR (03-06)(both naija-used) though would prefer the Camry cause of space. I've several advice from people to avoid the 05 and 06 Camry because they come with a 13pin transmission and that it gets bad quickly and costly to replace too. I'm in urgent need of your professional advice. thank you

very good advice. Stick with the 02-04 camry. The xr rear suspension parts are hard to come by. You are better off avoiding the XR also.
