Ayodele Fayose, the former Governor of Ekiti State lost his polling unit and ward to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in today's House of Assembly election in the state. The former Governor of Ekiti State failed to deliver his polling unit and ward in his hometown, Afao Ekiti in Irepodun Ifelodun local government area of the state to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Fayose lost his polling unit  at St David’s Primary School and ward as the APC candidate in Irepodun/Ifelodun constituency (2), Hakeem Jamiu, polled 168 votes to defeat the PDP’s candidate, Sunday Omosilade, who got 26 votes. The election was conducted after Omosilade, who was Fayose’s personal assistant, had in a letter to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) signified his intention to withdraw from the race. According to him, he had doubt about the neutrality of INEC to conduct free and fair election. His withdrawal was however rejected by INEC, who reiterated that he remains the candidate of the PDP for the constituency.

let me break it down for you,, that omosilade is an indigene of Afao Ekiti, infact he's a former councilor.... so imagine the Total rejection fayose is facing in his own home town,,,

People think shouting and noise making on social media is popularity, that was PDP major mistake, people voting are not on social media and people on social media don't vote they only rant. Look at oyo PDP, they are silently making waves, they are not popular on social media yet they are dismantling APC.
What I v noticed is social media is full of ranters who does not even have connection with what is on ground, people from Enugu are voting for Saraki on social media when people from kwara are voting for alternative same thing goes for people in Osun voting for APC in enugu on social media where as Enugu people are PDP. Unfortunately delusional youth takes social media popularity as final and anything contrary to it is inaccurate.
