Liverpool progressed to the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup last night by thrashing Bury 5-1 at Gigg Lane.

The win served to remind people that the Reds have an extensive conveyor belt of talent coming through the ranks.

In 2015, Liverpool landed highly-rated 18-year-old Taiwo Awoniyi from the Imperial Soccer Academy.

Since then the Nigerian-born striker has learned his trade during a series of loan spells away from Anfield.

Recently Sky Sports have reported that Awoniyi is attracting interest from Schalke who are willing to part with £10 million to secure his services.

Liverpool’s hands have been tied with regards to Awoniyi going out on loan. He is yet to make his Reds debut due to issues with receiving a work permit.

That could change in the future, however, and Liverpool should think very carefully over severing ties with the forward.

Currently, Awoniyi is on loan in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League with Mouscron.

It is easy to see why links are being made over a big-money move away from Anfield given his current form.

The 21-year-old has netted six goals during his first seven games for the club, showcasing a serious eye for goal.

Schalke might want to part with £10 million for the youngster, but Liverpool should hang fire just yet.

His work permit situation could change in the future and Awoniyi is showing that he deserves an Anfield opportunity.

Iheanacho has shown multiple facets to his game. He has shown despite little game time his awesome improvement as an all-round attacker/forward. Dude is dangerous from both outside the box and inside the box where he can score with his head, left foot and right foot. Nacho has also shown he is dangerous from set-pieces. His eagle-eyed Vision and shooting accuracy is getting deadlier daily. Have Mbappe and Gabby J scored from a freekick yet?? But Nacho has... He is showing with time that his game is multifaceted and can become a true attacking weapon with many different ways of hurting opponents.

It is like a science kid who rocks 100 in physics but rates mostly a 70 or 75 in chemistry and an 80 in Biology.
For instance, as a false 9, Nacho excels well too. He also does okay as a RWF if a proper 4-3-3 is employed. And as a top 9/lone striker, Nacho is not among the best but he certainly has the stats to prove he does good in that role too. Also, Nacho got to work on his work rate levels... Mbappe is what I call the ultimate Teen athlete-footballer because of his physical abilities. He is fast, has bad-ass endurance and is so very skillful. I made reference to Mbappe because to me his work rate level is unrivalled among young strikers today. I want Nacho to step up his work rate levels but not to the level of Mbappe. I don't see both players ever having same work rate levels. Mbappe trumps there easily. Both footballers will forge different footballing philosophical paths in the end. This I know.

Mbappe will develop along the path of being physical, super fast, full of running and very skillful.
Iheanacho will develop along the path of being more brains than brawn. He will be more calculated in his movements than being all physical and full of running.

Furthermore, Iheanacho has to work on his ability to be daring sometimes and be a little more adventurous. That way he can exert much more influence on a game. He has to work on that too. There are more subtle details he can develop to improve his all-round game as footballer but he is certainly on the right path.

He has The Vision- Really excellent Vision too, he has the intelligence of positioning which unveils his "raumdeuter" qualities like A Thomas muller (he knows to exploit gaps and find spaces in opposition areas) , he has the finishing- here he is on another level entirely (no hypes), he also has the ability to read a game intelligently and bring others into play and give that killer final pass which is why he bags assists like kilode sometimes. This young lad is still growing but he got the basic ingredients that can make him great. He is far from being the finished article but right now, he is still an article worth talking about and worth looking out for as he evolves
