Are you sorted out now?
Not yet we are still on it. Glad I made a good decision for my child. Nigeria isn't getting better anytime soon.

1.How long were you in the US before giving birth?
2.How many weeks was the pregnancy before you gave birth?
3.Did you declare at the POE to the CBP officer that you were pregnant?
4.Were you pregnant during your visa interview?

So did you lie to the CBP officers that you were not pregnant or you hid it from them?

Your story is not making sense

No further comment from me. I am tempted to deduce that you were advised to stay back to have your baby. How did you pay your bills? If yes, does it mean you were fully prepared for it?........Complicated pregnancy I believe is very expensive to handle in the US.

They haven't opened up an interview date for your file because they are still running their background checks. As soon as they have received a recommendation on your file, they will open up a date for your interview. This is why interviews are usually brief, because most times they already have the full information they need and a decision/recommendation has been made. When they are ready for you, they will give you an interview slot.

I hope you get to know and understand the enormity of that which you are up against. Genuinely, it will take a miracle for you to get off this hook!

People that didn’t do a quarter “wrong” of what your case seems like are all getting into trouble no one can explain. Complications, abi? Isorrai.... All the best oh!

Even you prevaricated here to the mamas you want help from. Those who actually declared both at the visa interview and poe are having issue. It will take a miracle for you to escape this 'self-inflicted' trap.

To be frank, each statement you make kinda makes it more difficult for some of us to contribute in our little ways. Lemme summarise, please correct me if am wrong;

1. Your original plan was to travel for vacation and then do shopping for baby.
2. You traveled at 5th month into your pregnancy.
3. At the 6th month into the pregnancy while still in the US, you developed complications.
4. Somehow, you had miraculously put funds away for both childbirth and unforseen complications and so the baby was given birth to.

Are these right or did I miss something(s) out?

PS: only a VO can actually determine if you get the visa or not, ours is to guide, based on personal and other's experiences.

Lemme pick some loopholes
1) @ 6 months the baby is like 24-28weeks so u nursed a baby from 24weeks in NICU till discharge and could pay your bills ......your husband must be a politician you dont need our advice @ 1000-1500 nicu per day .
2) were you planning to change intent after entering the USA and then you send a message complications arose abeg which complications o preeclampsia/eclampsia,hypertension abi preterm labour.
3) You got 5 months off work just like dat sowi i forgot u own ur own business
4) pls dont waste our time or insult our intelligence ok we try to be REAL on this platform
Its people like you that make it impossible to get real gist after the VO is done with you ,the next person they interview will innocently get blue paper from a backdrop of their anger with you.
Dont worry even if you cant convince we untrained VOs the real VO’s will be convinced.
5) finally the God of suddenly has gone ahead of you dont worry do drop box they will renew without interview.

I don't think so o as I saw some dates that first week I picked my passport but I needed to be sure I would make it as I w9rk and I dont live in Lagos or Abuja which means I need to plan a travel. So i didn't pick a date till a week later and since then all the dates are gone.I think its about availability rather than checks

Brief history
Got a medical visa in 2016 for childbirth, I had paid a hospital bill of $1250 prior to my interview and we were granted visas. Had another baby nov 2017 with the same visa but called the embassy to inform them and they said it was ok.
Applied for Dropbox but was called for follow up interview and asked to bring itemized bill.
Our interview was on the 4th of March, Abuja.
The VO after going through the itemized bill said we were given 90% discount and such discounts are only reserved for their low income earners and totally not acceptable for foreigners.
She placed us on administrative processing and asked us to go pay the outstanding bill and send the receipts back with our passports via dhl. The hospital is saying my account is closed and we can’t make payment. To be honest, going with the itemized bill they sent I had a total bill of almost $30,000 for both births but was asked to pay only $2500, the discount is huge, who pays the outstanding? We are ready to pay it but they are not giving us that option. Who has been in this situation and how was it resolved?

I think you can get a letter from the hospital saying ur account has been closed because u have finished paying and that no medicaid or govt fund was used also they should say the discount applies to both indigines and foreigners.

If they can state all this clearly ,add prayers and you should be good even if they refuse it and u reapply u have a basis to say look i was going to pay and hospital refused so who do i pay to ?what do i do ?but by Gods grace the letter will solve the problem.

Please where and how did you download this? Please can you kindly share?

I was told to create an online profile from the hospital back then. Did you do anything like that? If yes, go back to the portal, login with your user name and password(if lost, use the forgot password option). All your info, test results, medical records & bills are automatically updated. You can print from there.

We are in same category here, let me know how it goes cos ours was rejected completely until we clear the bill and the hospital says no bill is outstanding, its really frustrating cos at this point one will be confuse on what else to do.

Hello house, thank you so so much for this beautiful thread and those who keep it alive and informative.
So hubby and I are renewing via Dropbox. He finished his application and got to the part that says ‘start family application’ or ‘start new application’. He was to click on ‘ start family application to include mine yea? But somehow the internet was so poor that moment and he lost the page. Now we are finding it hard navigating back there, what do we do and we always apply together as a family.
Please I need help, maybe someone has had that experience before.

Please guys quick response..My friend applied for visa via drop box in November but was invited for interview in December. She finally got a date for the 14th of March. The purpose of her trip is vacation/attend a wedding...A few days ago she found out she is pregnant and her interview being so close she started contacting hospitals but yet to get a correspondence given that she found out barely a week to her interview. Her purpose of visit remains valid as she still plans to go for the wedding in May but now that she is a few weeks pregnant, the story has changed...What can she do given her close interview date...

Secondly has anyone gotten date recently for interview..I am still unable to get a date o..Its been 1 month now..I have written and called but still discretion response
