Hello All,

Sorry, this might seem off topic. Please is it worth it buying the Aftermarket Android DVD Navigation system? If yes, please help with best brand out there.

Many thanks.

Careful so you don't get one of those cheap Chinese headunits. If you want to a headunit upgrade, do it right. Budget like 150k.

Also, check if it's compatible with your car. Steering controls, climate control, etc. Some cars even have their computers integrated into the headunit. Infiniti, for example. In those cases, you need a plug and play one. Completely bespoke for your car model.

And I'm telling you categorically that your 15mpg highway is wrong. 20mpg is easily achievable with our fuel as long as he drives moderately.

What is moderate Highway speed to you? And is it always advisable to use Cruise control on a smooth Highway?

If nav is the main reason u want to get an aftermarket head unit then u might want to re consider. Those nav systems on head units are always outdated and with poor graphics. Most people in the us that drive cars with nav use their phones for navigation, and those cars that come with Android auto or carplay their owners don't even bother using factory nav, they just use Google maps.

Unless u can get an Android head unit then I dont think any of those Chinese head units will ever give u a good navigation experience. With Android head unit u can use Google maps or download other nav apps. So if u are replacing ur head unit mainly because of nav, rhen better u look for a really good quality Android head unit or it won't worth it. But if what u care about is Bluetooth, reverse camera, SD and USB support for music and movies, then there are many head units that can give u that.

Only for one generation, though. Size-wise, the Rav4 is still firmly in the compact SUV class.

I'll cede to that but they are debating reintroducing it for 2019 or 2020. I live to debate another day!

RAV4 will be cheaper to own. The RX isn't expensive either, though, but it'll be more expensive than the Rav.

Why not look at a Venza? Best of both worlds.

the venza is better off?

It's a better car than the Rav4, more prestigious too. And will be cheaper to own than the RX350.

Sadly, Venzas are way more expensive than they have any right to be. It's almost ridiculous.

If you're looking for the cheapest, most reliable, least expensive vehicle, just get a fully-loaded Rav4.

CRVs are nice too, tbh.

Imo, it's not quite as durable as a Rav4, but if you treat it right, it will not let you down. Second hand value is worse than a RAV4 but it's also considerably cheaper too.

Look at a 2013 or so CRV.

Sadly both the venza and Rav 4 are more expensive than they have any right to be. A 2010 tokunbo venza sells for between 5-6m and a 2010 Rav 4 is between 4-5m.

Personally, not more than 80mph, the law recommends 60mph sha grin

As for cruise control, I'm not really a fan. It's enough I don't have to utilise my left leg, can't afford not to keep the right busy as often as I can.

Make man no go sleep off only to wake up in heaven or in hell as the case may be grin

Lmao.....ur last sentence though. grin grin

These days I don't run more than 60mph....less than 100km/h and even tho my car feels slow at that speed, I still prefer it.

Challenge yourself not to use the foot pedals at all and you'll see how unboring cruise is grin I do it all the time

The Lexus is like two steps ahead of the Venza in terms of luxury.

This is a good read especially for the first time car buyer. Don't say "this is for America". LEARN and avoid buyer's remorse.
