How do you know the salaries of cameroonian soldiers huh And for you to compare Na welfare with BHTs that survive in jungle camps, that’s just crazy talk.
No sir, it is not crazy talk at all. It is not. During the tussle for Bakassi, I heard from the horse's mouth why NA soldiers where running to cameroon side because of this same welfare issue. And since that time I am sure by now they would have improved on their personnel's welfare, we too have but it is little compared to what is on thie side. Then as for BHT I don't want to start mention too much because I may sound drunk and stupid. But I know there are paid in dollars and many more.

Ya, I know it sound so damn crazy. But Compared to other W. Africa nations, NA NCOs receive a tip of their iceberg.

grin We could as well still be living in "bakassi-times" but for the goodness of reality. The Yar' Adua/Jonathan Administration created a new pay scale for the Armed Forces thus bringing that "bakassi" argument to ancient history.

grin if the welfare was so great why would their soldiers risk a limb to join BIR grin
Only the BIR is well taken care of on a management level

grin CiV NCOs that protested salaries 2yrs back would feel honored that you think highly of them
The Liberians too, very honored
The Malians? Very honored too
As much as I know, only Senegal & CIV & (formerly guinea) has comparable NCOs (Welfare, training etc) to us. This country never worse reach this one abeg

Armed Forces (especially for grunts) salary across continents are shitty & I wish it were not so but this statement of yours is quite a fable

It’s just a fantasy though, too many bottlenecks. US approval, pilots and technicians to man them and most of all fund
US approval is the real issue.

All the others are surmountable if given the right amount of support

Oops!! I am really sorry I forgot there is a country called LIBERIA in W.Africa. sorry for that please. But still news of embezzlement of OPS ALLOWANCE should be addressed. Most SOLDIERs can't work well under this conditions. As for me, I think I will weep and become Fed up.

boko boys are not paid in dollars sir, don't you see the malnourished bodies of their dead fighter killed by our troops? huh
i doubt even their commanders get much.
Bakassi tussle you're talking about is from OBj era surely things have changed, I'm not even arguing about NA salaries, I'm asking how you know what Cameroonian soldiers earn.

My mum was with the military intelligence and was the main translator for signals during the Bakassi tussle. So, when she narrate her experiences, what she says about her motherland army, I think a strong man would shed rivers of years flowing down his cheeks.

She knew 98% of Cameroon military ops then because she had spent over a decade there. She said you can't compare both country ALLOWANCE. CAMEROON SENT SIGNALS THAT NA SOLDIERS ARE COMING TO JOIN THEM.

As long as the Army refused to join the IPPIS like NaF and NN have we'd keep hearing such annoying things. Very frustrating

and its over a decade now, in 2010 the salary scale (basic pay) was reorganized. I repeat, only the BIR is well funded.

@ the bolded, am at loss for words so I won't call names. One thing I can leave you with is that during Flintlock 2012 the Western SOF were surprised to see NGR and CMR soldiers relating. Only those that fought then can explain the hatred. So I am surprised to see coming to join them

Nigeria’s Homeland Integrated Offshore Services of Nigeria (HIOS) has ordered two additional Damen 3307 Patrol Vessels from Damen Shipyards Group.

This further increases the total number of these vessels in the Homeland fleet with the first ordered in 2014 and the most recent deliveries being three vessels over the course of 2018, Damen said in a statement on 11 March. A June 2018 order took Homeland’s total to six.

OPERATION YANCIN TAFKI: NAF, NIGERIEN AIR FORCE SUPPORT MNJTF GROUND TROOPS TO PURSUE, DECIMATE SCORES OF TERRORISTS IN NORTHERN BORNO

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has continued to provide active support to ensure success of Operation YANCIN TAFKI, the joint multi-national operation aimed at routing remnants of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in the Lake Chad Basin area. NAF Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms and Alpha Jet attack aircraft, working in synergy with ISR platforms and attack aircraft from the Nigerien Air Force, supported surface troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) to pursue and decimate fleeing ISWAP fighters around Tumbun Rego area on the fringes of Lake Chad in the northern part of Borno State on 12 March 2019. The effectiveness of interdiction and close air support missions conducted by the attack aircraft of the 2 countries facilitated the routing of the terrorists at Arege, resulting in the killing of 33 fighters, destruction of some terrorists’ equipment as well as the recovery of an array of weapons and equipment.

In a related development, the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has continued to provide airlift support to troops of participating national contingents of Operation YANCIN TAFKI. This has enhanced liaison between the various Commanders and facilitated visits to forward locations. NAF ISR platforms and helicopters are also providing aerial command posts for enhanced coordination of close air support missions as well as fire control support for ground artillery bombardment of terrorists’ positions. The NAF, operating in concert with allied air and surface forces, will continue to sustain its efforts to support all operations in the Northeast.

Good news doesn’t sell and those people who wished to gain cheap political points by amplifying the losses of our own NA now have another 3 and 1/2 years to load...
Those people own powerful and influential media houses.

Imagine having this many colleagues who have passed away during this conflict, the price to pay for war is expensive! Very sad indeed.
