I thought germany is free education?

Most schools but not all schools offers free tuition even in some schools that offer free tuition there are some courses within the school that requires tuition. Schools that offers free tuition requires you take of your living expenses which the German embassy requires you to block 8700€ in a German account before you would be offered a visium.

Oh so sorry, You were right. Kaplan was not included. To get the file, Please google "download Kaplan new GRE 2011-2012 Premier pdf". Its about 43Mb.

I thought the 8700€ is required by the german embassy for all schools or a sponsor in Germany before issuing a visa. Is there an exception to this? Kindly throw more light

Exactly, the money is to prove to the embassy that you can take care of your living expenses but in the case where you have someone you need a sponsorship letter SL which your sponsor need send to the alien office for approval.

I wonder why most schools are slowing in sending out admission decisions this year unlike last year

LSU graduate programs are mainly direct admission in the sense that a Professor has to volunteer to admit you if he has the financial capacity to support your study. So, it is advisable to mail Professors and get one that has funding or get external funding in form of fellowships, grants etc.

Please share your experience if you wrote GRE recently. Encourage someone.

Hi everyone, I was supposed to write my GRE exam yesterday. On getting to the test center the security guy informed us that test has been postponed. ETS has not sent any notification message regarding that. I will like you guys to yarn me if you've experienced a similar situation like mine.
