Lagos is hyped, but that of Lagos island is overwhelming.. houses existing for years are still on erection...

As an expert in Emergency Management, much as the role could be multi-dimensional, but the onus lies on the government to take actions on such matters.
Nigeria has been so lackadaisical in the approach on Disaster Management ranging from flood, fire, building collapse etc
How can a Governor be quick to accuse the owner of the building in resisting the demolition exercise when such building has been marked?
It only shows a failed system where no one wants to take responsibility.
In a sane clime, the Chairman/Director, SEMA lagos state or any other agency responsible in Development Authority in Lagos should have either resigned or be fired but not in Nigeria.
We are yet to even see the C-in-C commiserating with the bereaved as seen in saner climes but here, is a shit hole.
So sad to express my feelings in writing.

we know that this Nigeria can build a flat at first, then later on they'll convert it to a storey building then the foundation carries excess load and makes it likely to collapse

Lagos; a city like many others where life diminishes but they say it is the epitome of life.

Lagos; a city that represents failure and ignorance of man but they say success is the atmosphere.

Lagos; a city where nothing has value except money, money and money.

Lagos; a city where virtually everything is contaminated and corrupted but they say it is the centre of excellence.
