INEC releases press statement on Rivers governorship election - will issue timelines for the completion of the process on the 20th of March The Inedependent National Electoral Commission suspended the Rivers State governorship election process on March 10th, 2019 due to reports that the collation center had been invaded by armed thugs and soldiers. www.nairaland.com/attachments/8956293_d1tie0axgaa0gme_jpeg_jpegabb572a40b4a3256f61e2389b919e575 www.nairaland.com/attachments/8956316_2019031016_01_35_jpegaa0c7d9e9d226b95e360d91e5f6e6c3b INEC subsequently set up a fact finding mission that went to Rivers State to ascertain what exactly was happening. Ok. I have confidence in this InEC and in its ability to deliver a credible election in Rivers. Prof Yakubu continue the great job. INEC should also hurry and release the results let us know whivch way the pendulum swings. The loser should accept it in good faith as a necessary price paid for the well being of Rivers and the people. No shaking! Nothing dey happen. To be honest, Wike is winning this election. I think it's even safe to say he's running unopposed. How Amaechi thinks he can use federal might to gain victory for someone almost unknown to most people in the state baffles me...not in this age and time, at least.
