from my own point of view
there can't be God and that is the problem I have with deist
if u claim a supreme being exist then u should begin to think y the supreme being created evil, why he allowed his creatures to have different religions knowing that it will lead to bloodshed
and also the idea of a supreme being comes along with a religion so to me
believing in a supreme being without religion is like confusion

pls if u know any deist In the house mention them and let me see their own point of view

I don't agree with the bolded. I think the backbone of human existence is the collective drive towards a better future aka survival. At some point religion helped this drive, but it wants to stay in past while humanity needs/wants to move forward. If religion, culture or tradition is unwilling to change and adapt to the new realities, they should be discarded.

they think it is diabolical

Yes... a friend of mine ... Lemme put it this way due to his profound believes he never called it witchcraft, but he began to believe that there are forces beyond what is normal... I never took it serious, thought it was a small crisis in his own faith till things actually began going out of control

If the whole world believed in christianity or islam, we will still be living in the 16th century. The bible warned against acquisition of much knowledge. There cannot be development if people do not seek knowledge and it seems religion is against that

The essence of spirituality is simply "being", while the essence of religion is "doing". I eventually came to realize that I don't have to "do" anything in order to acknowledge and accept my "beingness", and it was this discovery in which I realized that "I AM".

you know this is a public forum, but lemme spill one which i can let go for the public?
from my childhood i was friends with a man whom i had never seen his face nor knew his name, but he told me things, many things to an extent that my siblings and parents started seeing me as a prophet, he told about the future i will share with the family and at the later it happened the same way, premonitions, most of my dreams where reality that would in eventuality unfold. my family were strong believers,my teachings as of then made me believe it was god. as a child i was loner (was recently that i started trying to step up my social life) and was fascinated with reading and research, i read religious books, philosophical books and teachings, history, psychology, fictions, i read vastly that my parents began to hate it, because i was no longer participating in school good enough. between 11/12 of my age i suffered a crisis in my faith, soon i was a strong believer in the teachings of atheism was very familiar with most logic including that of a one end stick, the scientific theory of the big bang, Darwin's evolution theory i was conversant with all these, believe me when i say that an abundance of knowledge is an abundance of frustration, life hit me bad with unexpected events like it always does to people, during this period i lost contact with my friend, eventually(after years) few months to my waec exams, he started visiting again but i ignored, giving me warnings of impending dangers but i had stopped being a believer long ago, within this period me and my classmates normally sneak outta school after exams we always kept late nights because of football matches ...it happened often that while going back to school through the bushes and small river(agangwu) we all will hear a voice calling my name and it sounds as if it where from a very far distance, due to fear some of them stopped following any group i was going out with. but a little while after, all those stuffs my friend were warning about began to unfold, continued seeing it as a kind of being my cognitive bias till i nearly lost my life during my during my class 6 waec exams.
