nepapole:It is not in the Government's place to pay compensation when a PRIVATE building collapses.. They should go and meet their Insurance company.. Or hold the Owner.. 1 Like |

When I go through most of the comments on NL Its clear people don't know how this works The system is corrupt Buy a land Erect just a few blocks to window level U will see the red sign for demolition All they need is for u to come to the office Pay some money and u can continue No one comes to look at what u are building After many years the building collapses They will bring out your file and say the building was marked for demolition They know how to beat us in our own game 1 Like |

its actually a court case between the injured and the owner of the (private) building- the burden of safety lies with him. it should be somewhere in the contract the tenants signed i dont get it- is it the government who should pay a fine for not demolishing on time (which is an offence) in which case the government has to get the exact department, worker and their superior who were assigned to monitor that building or was the owner supposed to demolish it? 1 Like |

Makes no sense. If the building was marked for demolition... it means the owner disregarded the order and had the building occupied. He should be facing X (number of dead)charges for manslaughter. The head person in charge of enforcing the regulations and the one responsible for ensuring the building was unoccupied..... the one who is responsible for having all private schools inspected and registered and are in compliance .... they all need to be fired and face some kind of charge for negligence of duty. As long as there is no accountability nor consequences.... it will be a free for all. 1 Like 1 Share |
