Actually, people from wretched backgrounds that make it show that anybody can make it. They had to struggle hard to make it. Through small beginnings, perseverance, hard work and a bit of luck. Rich background people never suffered to begin with and therefore do not have the moral position to scold "professional & slay queen beggars".

You do not even have to be a celeb to be fed up with online begging. Many very average people like us are too.

Begging is not even the main thing but the sense of entitlement most of them have. Most are absolutely uninterested in your suggestions to them of how they can become more productive and independent. The rudeness that follows is appalling. They feel too big to start small.

Also very nauseating is the purpose many give for asking for money. Like our GO has asked every youth to pay 10k for a church program, my friend who sells clothes just showed me one nice pink dress selling for 9k, my phone is bad, I need to replace it right away, etc.

Of course where people have serious issues like bereavement, serious illness in the family and so on, that's understandable.

We are a funny lot in this country. You and your siblings dont have food to eat but you have an android phone and enough data to beg for money via Instagram. It doesn't add up. Why not sell the phone and hustle with fund. There is dignity in hard work!

Since when has begging become a crime? You think the economy is.smilling on everyone out there? And a fool up there said if you have data to login then you must have too,d, that's one of the most dumbest thought ever. Ifs like saying if you are hungry sell your smartphone. If you don't want to give then look elsewhere not trying to bring them down because some of them are students for real.
Al u need is verify if he or she is telling the truth. You should consider yourself lucky you are in the state where someone bis begging you, if Alibaba was in that plane that crashed then I bet this your so call good life will take a sudden turn, Useless comedian that's not even funny

Abi oo. Don't mind the foolish man, who says these people aren't hustling offline, with this harsh economy...Like the lobbyist never begged for shows too, holier than tho. He even said they should start selling groundnuts and all like those stuffs will provide for their daily needs and pay their rents, how can he be sure that they aren't doing similar things. He should Bleep off if he can not help, he is just lucky and so is other privileged person, no one is in a position to judge because no one is actually in their shoes. The economic condition of today was totally different from how it used to be when he was hustling. How can they sell their smartphones when that could be the only means of them meeting an helper who could provide them a job. Everything is now a crime in this country. If you no get money, show your face so people could help you. As for the beggars, they should have begged for jobs instead of money but it's still understandable.

You won't believe people are really facing hard times until you read their obituaries. Three years ago while I was serving in Kogi State I saw what hard times could do to people. I couldn't move an inch without someone meeting me to beg,of which most times I did give. And there was this particular old man that stood out among them; he always asked. Man was always looking hungry. At a point I stopped giving. It didn't take more than a week before he died of hunger in his room. Funny enough, this old man always prayed that God shouldn't allow him suffer further, and that he should die a peaceful death and not one of ill health.

true that...

Thanks to all those who said there was nothing wrong in begging I feel for people and when I have I give because when I don’t have God Always sends someone to me. There are many factors when it comes to unemployment sometimes what you do is so specialized and not many companies are hiring some are even scamming people in the process as not offering what they said in the interview.

I would worry why his show is once or twice a year abi Joke don dey finish lol or na to wait make everybody crack their own

If you can assist do, let God be the judge if the person is honest or fraudulent in his/her request.
God loves a cheerful giver.
i belong to a charitiable organisation,"Children Living with Cancer Foundation" that i contribute to, i enjoy all Nigerians to align to one or more charitable organisations.
God's grace and gift is what makes each one of us unique, let no man boast that he/she made it by dint of hardwork, even being able to work hard is a gift, without the gift of health, can you even work.
In short do not judge any man by his/her short comings.

Which one be rubbish?? Person go buy phone worth over 50k come subscribe data of over 1k just to come online and solicit for money from strangers?? Spin it however you want, no amount of emotional blackmail will erase the fact that most of them are opportunistic corporate beggars.

that's it, misplaced priorities everywhere you turn. Nigerians were ready to waste 70m on a new baby who's not even sure what he will become, 70m will change the lives of 140youths in this country. No one wants to help ppl who needs help, they only will give you when it will involve social media hype. Ali Baba is just looking for attention for his already dead career.

Don't mind him with his stupid unfunny jokes. Most of them are nothing but politicians slaves o. He is way too serious to be a comedian. It's only when you've been there that you can know how it really hurts. I never under rate those that beg because I have once begged for 50 naira for transport from a dude when I was stranded and broke, in fact he gave me 100 naira which I used the remaining 50 naira to buy sugar and groundnut in my garri. I pray God bless me enough to pay that money back to that dude with multi millions or more someday because I still see him. I learnt from the hard time and I worked hard to become a better person, now I have my work, I pay rent, I have my own car and I help those that beg from me with what I can. It is not permanent when they don't make it a hobby or a job. He should try to help them by providing jobs for them not bring them down because surviving in Nigeria with no good job or strong support is not easy. That is the honest truth.

You said it all o. How can someone boast that he mad it through his hardwork alone. That is a high degree of pride which God detests. He forgot that not everyone has this thin called 'Opportunity'. At a point in time, many people beg either for money, jobs or connections. We even beg God daily and He gives us. Why not help others when they need us? He even said that they should sell groundnuts, did groundnut selling and car washing get him to where he is today? Or will he give them the capital to start such? He is just a very mean comedian with very dry jokes.
