Do you have a valid Comprehensive car insurance?

If you are a Partner on uber/taxify and you still leverage on a third party insurance cover, believe me you are not ready for business.

With Comprehensive Insurance specially designed for e-hailing businesses like uber and taxify and other commercial purposes, you worry less about the following;

1. When the car gets burnt, be it partial or total
2. When the car gets stolen
3. Accidental damage of the car, partial or total
4. Third party property damage
5. Bodily Injury of the insured and third party
6. Flood Extension
7. Damages caused by malicious act

Imagine a car of 2.5 million gets stolen and you don't have a comprehensive insurance for the car
Imagine there was a fire outbreak where you parked your car overnight
Imagine a danfo driver hit your car on the highway and run away

With a Comprehensive Insurance cover, all imaginations above are covered;

You get your money back or a replacement car (your car type) if stolen or got burnt. T& C applies
Your damaged car gets repaired without a kobo coming out from you T & C applies.

To know more about this type of insurance cover and any other type, kindly reach me on 07056213630.

Get 5% discount premium on Comprehensive Insurance, offer Valid till 31st March, 2019.

We don't pray to have accidents but it happens everyday. Secure unplanned for expenses on your car today

Anyways, if you doubt, you could drive into their office at Oshodi to confirm whenever you're around.

I know wetin i dey talk cool
How can LASDRI start 2015 when I did my first ever march 2014?.
LASDRI is basically meant for commercial /car hire drivers, motor cycles/ tricycle riders, company/corporate drivers etc.

Lets just call it what it is.
LASDRI is another avenue for the govt to fleece innocent citizens of their hard earned money so as to claim increased IGR.

E hailing is no longer profitable. Simple reason, reduced turnover but same or increasing operating cost.

The earlier we accept this the better.

Drivers aren't making profit, car owners aren't making profit, Uber isn't making profit.

Price reduction will kill any business on the long run. To add insult to injury, Nigerians rushed into the business.

Honestly, where do we go from here? We need to have a honest conversation.

Drivers
Partners
E hailing companies
Government ( if possible )

All parties involved must have a honest conversation, if not, I don't see much hope for the future.

Define professional driver.
As long as you are not driving your personal car, you are considered a driver. All they need to check is the name on the drivers license and the name on the vehicle particulars.

When I was caught, I paid a fine of 20,000 to Fidelity Bank. This was years back. That's my experience

After then, I did my first one at Oshodi(Next compound to LASTMA office). I paid 2k at the Ecobank opposite LASTMA.They even asked for tax receipt(i can't remember how I dodged that) . And I spent about 6 hours to get it. They will take you through some stupid talks about how to behave as a driver, road sign talks and all that just to justify the loot they are collecting. As at the last time I did it, it was 3k. I paid to one fat lady at the door and got my LASDRI in paper(no longer plastic)

Why I type all these is because I was once caught, and I have done it twice. I'm typing from my experience. I haven't come here to argue

Maybe I was hustled or not, but what I know is the Officer who stopped me told me that as long as the name on the vehicle particulars is not the same with the drivers license, you are considered a driver

And we both know 80% of uber cars fall into this category

Like a typical Nigerian politician u didn't answer the question..lolz

Thank God you said it by yourself that u were hustled.so I cant borrow my friend's car and travel to Lagos anymore? You panicked and they made money out of you.
You already have a drivers license issued by the federal republic of Nigeria, the highest authority, behind it it is clearly stated that you are licensed to drive a car other than a motorcycle or articulated vehicle.

I wont say more than that

Most people on this thread are drivers. It wouldn't cost much to pull into a LASDRI office and make enquiries.

It's rather safe to be with a first hand info, than to be arguing with VIO officer while on a trip

LASDRI is for professional drivers. That's the purpose. And according to them, you'll be regarded a driver as long as you don't own the car(If the name on your drivers license is different from the name on the vehicle particulars)lol,if lasdri is dead, why is their office at Oshodi still operational? Why ask me to go there? They're are open everyday of The week. I mentioned my truck because it's a commercial vehicle with red plate no. Well it's no big deal getting one. It's a stipend of #3000k.

Maybe I was hustled, and maybe you're right. But like I suggested, go to their office and make enquiries.

And besides, LASDRI died in 2017 after Ambode kicked them out of the road. I don't understand what you mean by "issued in the past three years"

What I actually meant by "dead" is that the VIO who are the sole checkers of this rubbish were chased off the roads by Ambode. That's why I called it dead

But they are back this year.

And I asked you to go there so you will know the correct category for it. I just stated my experience. I have done LASDRI twice. Once in 2015 and 2017(Wasnt in Lagos throughout 2016)

I told someone my experience, and he is saying Federal law and all that.

Didn't he think I must have said that? Didn't he think that the hundreds coming to do this LASDRI must have said that and probably know that?

Amongst all traffic agencies, the VIO are the most organised, and they hardly, I mean hardly listen to the option of a bribe. I don't know if they reward them handsomely for catching an offender
