Because of no available job for me I decided to go register a business name in January 2019, Lewis technical services with Corporate affairs commission CAC, 2748482 so I decided to get a tax clearance certificate to have a separate account to run the business. When I got to the office in Airport rd near total filling station see what I was told to pay.... 2016: N30,100 2017: N31,100 2018: N32,000 2019: N5,000 advance @ N76,000/year Is the state government encouraging us

Perhaps you did not file your returns for them to determine appropriate amount. The amount given to you is called BOJ (I.e. Best of Judgement). You can dispute it by providing reasonable argument. At the end of the day, you may pay around 50k. Have a personal talk with the D/A (Direct Assessment) officer. Regards. 1 Like |
