And am never moving to note 7 pro
To me it's same device and will be a waste of money for me to get one grin

Firstly, I think the default shooter settings on the RN7 is 12MP. You have to enter the pro settings to change to 48MP.

Secondly, the 48MP is mainly there for lossless zooming. It means that if you shoot in 12MP mode and 48MP mode, they'll look similar. However, when you zoom in the pictures taken with the 48, you won't lose much detail.

Would anyone believe that these shots were taken on Redmi 5 Plus without GCAM?

Note: I couldn't upload the actual images because NL rejected them for being too large. So I had to screenshot to reduce the file size.

Ultimately, the quality of the images have reduced. But then, what's your thought?

I posted those pictures because I wanted to make a point. Before anyone can degrade a phone's camera, they should be sure they know the comprehensive settings of the said camera.

How many phone users know about ISO, Aperture, Dynamic Range, and more? Some can't even do the basic settings, yet they will be quick to flaw their camera.

Apparently, these same pictures I shot with the R5+ are marginally cheesy (if you know, you know) better than some pictures taken on the note 5 or RN6. Reason? I know my camera more than then do.

Sometimes, it's not all about the lens, but the skills and efforts put into taking a shot. I've seen people complaining about the camera on the iPhone X shocked, what would you call that? grin

You're a pro shooter na. Most people just use basic settings to shoot, including me. It's only when I have time to play around that I adjust those settings.

I'm sure if a pro user handles the RN7 with apps like Open Camera, Camera FV-5 and DSLR Camera Pro that allows for manual settings, we'll be able to see some stunning pictures.

I use RN5 and I take good shots on it though I tweak my settings every now and then depending on the scenario.

Nice, but we lost the clouds grin. Maybe HDR would have saved some of it
