That JD is very rich. I think you qualify as a Senior Manager.

I think it should be 0013.

I think it is a major flaw that Canada's NOC 2016 does not have an NOC for entrepreneurs. Rather, as an entrepreneur you have to choose your NOC based on your technical background.

All the best and may God grant you wisdom.

xtosync:
Hi there,
So the anti climax of this long almost two years ordeal is ending with a refusal due to incorrect NOC code. I applied with NOC code 0213 - Computer and Information System Manager.

This is what I should have done two years back, but I honestly thought I was on the right course. I am sharing so that it serves as a lesson to others getting into the process. Seek all the advice and counsel you can especially wherever you have doubts, even if it make you look or sound like a slowpoke.

5, 6, 7 or more heads are better than 1 or 2.

This is not the testimony I was hoping to drop after a year and 6 months wait, but a lesson for one is a lesson for many. Never too late to do the right thing. smiley

special thanks to Zutlin, Abubuyaya. You guys give me the courage to do this.

Hello all, especially the seniors.

I've been a silent visitor to this thread in recent times and I've found it to be most helpful to the extent that if I have any questions all I do was to search the thread further or return to page 1 of the different parts to get my answers. Everyone here has been awesome.

But at this stage I can't afford to gamble or make a single mistake. Thus I'm pleading for a volunteer senior(s) to please help as I need guidance on gift deed/pof and NOC reevaluation. shocked shocked

Hi. Kindly specify the questions so answers will be provided accordingly.

Thanks, I'll clear the cache and see how it goes and as for the turnioniown, that is not a today ting.
Topsmamen:

Hmm. Clearing your cache+device restart should work. Try another device.

This round and round turnioniown shouldn’t happen.

You have a very valid point. If she has a cooperative HR, she can go ahead.

ans123:
I struggle to understand how you said the position is not a managerial role but has 'manager' as the title.Choosing 1123 and having to explain to VO with LOE may raise suspicion and ultimately extra scrutiny and perhaps interview. If you must use 1123 then you may have to rephrase the title to Marketing Communication officer or executive and tailor the JDs accordingly

My 2cent, as long as your HR or your supervisor can give you a letter bearing Marcom manager and you are certain you have performed those duties listed in 0124, go with it. Only you know it's not a managerial role.Sometimes our fears are unfounded

Statement of account and fixed deposit certificate, i wonder why they have to request again.

joo2018:
Like I noted earlier, I think the FD certificate is ok.

But if I may ask, @EndInPraisess, what did you submit as POT initially?

You max out with these scores LRSW 8.5 8 7.5 7.5, you get the full 34 points. 8777 could give you 23 points.
kentoski:

Hi, is maxing out the IELTS same as 8777 or does higher bands give any additional points?

Hmm! Interesting. This is my professional field too, NOC 1123 to be precise.

Since you were not in a managerial position, I think you should stick to NOC 1123 but attach an LOE explaining why this NOC is the best for you, since you were not a manager, despite what the title says. If you want to do "effizzi" and bambooze the VO wink , provide a breakdown of the career paths in Corp. Comms in Nigerian and explain that it is a common practice to assign "manager" portfolios to non-managerial staff in our industry for whatever reason perhaps to make the title more appealing to potential recruitees, industry policy etc. You are the expert here, so make your case convincingly.

I remembered a lady who had to go to Accra for an interview because her JD was managerial but the title wasn't. She got PPR.

Thank you for this.
I'd be sure to include a well detailed LOE, and intensify my prayers against the most dreaded, Accra. sad

Maxing out = LRSW- 8.5,8.0,7.5,7.5.

And yes this will give you a higher score than 8777

I was in a similar situation when i got my ADR.

I terminated the fixed deposit, got my statement of account then added a letter of explanation and also scanned the the fixed deposit documents alongside.

Oh yes, I used WES. Thanks for the info...am sorry, I still more questions: I found out that Jos is the only centre in Nigeria... Is it true? If exam is Sept. And result is Dec., when is the registration? Like how long from date of registration? Any exam centre in South West?
Thanks

adenikeO:
If you take the BCS exam in September, the result will be out in December. Once you get your result, you can add another credential, I am assuming you used WES for your ECA and you'll have to pay an extra 100 Canadian dollars for that.

Once that is done, you can then email BCS to send your Certificate and Transcript to WES. If you want to save some money you can send your certificate yourself via hellofax but you'll have to wait to get your certificate from the nearest post office close to the residential location indicated on the BCS application form.

It shouldn't take more than a month after you've sent your documents to WES.

So I have been a silent reader on this forum and started from part 5 just after my AOR and followed religiously till the wait became too long and I didn't want to feel overwhelmed with other getting PPR and mine taking so long but in part 7 I read occasionally and said this is where I would testify and to God be the glory I'm here. I'll start with my decision to apply which was in May 2018 and went head on to reading for my IELTS and read and passed once ( to the glory of God) using only three website my score was
Reading 8.0
Writing 7.0
Listening 8.5
Speaking 8.0
As I was in the process of IELTS I applied for my WES and that was slightly smooth as I had to pay for tracking as nipost only prioritize mail with tracking so I eventually got it. The same happened for my PCC from the uk but I got it in no time
My time line
AOR -Sept 17 2018
Medicals/15 Oct
biometrics 16 Oct
From there a long wait began. in December I callers IRCC on application and heard review required and thought nothing till January when I order a GCMS and found review required for POF which was 21 dollars shorts of the minimum requirement I quickly sent an updated POF and attached a letter of explanation on the 13th of Feb and followed up with a call and they confirmed they had received it.

I also called again two weeks ago and spoke to a very nice rep who told me no cause for alarm that they were working on it as we speak.
On Monday decided to call and heard the doc was just added to my file on the 15th March and I was sad cus I thought it would take months.

And fast to today I just received my PPR. I want to thank each and everyone here for sharing their story and experience they have helped me through this trying times. There were days I would call my bf and cry and pray but in all keep hope alive and trusting God in this process. For those who might feel discouraged, sad or confused that there is no movement please have faith and trust God is working behind the scenes, for you. It will surely end in praise.

You are the way maker, miracle worker and promise keeper. Praise the Lord

Congrats. But nor vex o. How did you get 7 in Writing? wink

Hello House,

Thank you all for your contributions and assistance. I just managed to pass IELTS after 3rd attempt. First trial with the CBT, found it better than paper based in my opinion. LRWS 8.5, 8.5. 7, 7 and with a provisional score of 456. Not yet in the pool as i want to get it right so as not to make terrible errors, I need help on the following:

- I got ECA done by WES for me and my partner. We both Veterinary graduates. Knowing that this profession requires licence to practice overseas, is it safe for us to choose this NOC 3114 (Veterinarian) or go for something related? Moreover the work experience is in the veterinary field.

Secondly, im currently in Australia and family in Nigeria, how do i go about Biometrics and medicals? i mean is it possible for me to do mine here and my family do theirs in Nigeria or do i have to come to Nigeria to do it together as a whole family unit?

Thank you in anticpation for your responses.
