It will be difficult to probe Tinubu for having a bullion van in his house cos lag generates the highest internal revenue amongst all states and a good part of this goes to his companies. Onoghen, on the other hand, was already indicted as a corrupt high court judge as far back as 1993. He alongside other corrupt state high court judges were pencilled down by late general sani abacha for sack before he used his influence in the judiciary to make the NJC promote him and then also confirm him on the role as an appeal court judge almost immediately. This was an anomaly in the judiciary but it happened cos of the corrupt people we have. By the time abacha was going to sack them, onoghen had been promoted to an appeal court judge and the njc asked for the removal of his name from the list. It's surprising now that's same onoghen that's crying wolf. Truthbites:
What was in Tinubu's bullion vans? Coupon papers? Election papers or rupees? Because I don't understand why Tinubu is still a free man. They have nothing on Onnoghen.they removed him because of election

Look at people blaming EFCC, I pity your parents that is looking up to you all.
When they are gifting car to each other, they didn't notify me, you and media. Now EFCC is trailing them upandan, they should go and explain their dealing whether shady or not.
I also have my own life and career to defend at every point in time

When EFCC finally gets the court to convict the judgement trader and Bureau de Change ex-CJN, you can then be paying him visits at Kirikiri Prisons.
The current cases against Ex- CJN Onnoghen are not "criminal per se" and he won't go to jail if convicted.

But that not withstanding, it is obvious that Onnoghen has been "doing business with judgements" for a lo g time, using this Lawyer called Agi, as "A FRONT MAN".

A lot of Judges do it some use the court Registrars as their "front man / collector" because it is a crime for them to collect the mi es directly.
Even when Police I.G banned policemen from having no.more than a few Naira on them when on duty, they simply recruited an "area boy" who does the collection and hold the loot till they close.
Go to any notorious check point on junction and you will see Danfo drivers doing illegal U-turns or committing all sorts of traffic offenses while the Policemam looks-on disinterested, look closer and you will see the driver handing over money to a tout at the same time

That is how they roll.
The Judiciary is filled with a lot of criminals who call themselves "Judges" and if we Nigerians want to be sincere with ourselves, we should join the Govt to sanitize that arm of govt otherwise, the day one of you urging Onnoghen- on today, will face a compromised Judge who takes bribe from your opponent in court, that is when you will realise how much evil you are doing to yourselves.

I don't know if you people wonder why it is always the poor people that go to jail for stealing #5,000 (15yrs in prison), while those who steal #30Billion either get set free by a Judge or told to pay #100,000 fine?

What a joke!

Do people actually believe someone should stop living his life because he’s a judge.

What’s wrong in buying a car for Gods sake. People do that every day.

You buy car it’s ‘a gift’ you sell it, I might add after years of use, money paid to you it’s bribe.

This is really sad, all in an effort to hang the man.

The truth would be told at the end.
Nigeria will face very dire future if this is how most "lazy Yoots" reason!

I am sure you read the part of the revelation where it was stated that the car gift, the $30,000 'gift' both occurred at a time when this Lawyer Agi, had cases pending before Justice Onnoghen!
Now, if you are the other parties in such cases, would you be satisfied that the Lawyer of your opponent is dashing "gifts" to the Judge at that very point in tine?

Does that not raise issues of ETHICS?

You people from "that side" should not carry your hatred for Buhari too far and too nonsensical because at the end of the day, there is always a price to pay for foolishness of this sort. undecided

You are the FOOL for tagging me a person “from the other side “ because I choose not believe in your stupid, media propaganda story, isn’t that line stale already.

I’ll let you know since you are too lazy to decipher by yourself even when it was stated there in the report the car was bought for 7million but tagged “a gift” by you evil people. That car was bought and later sold years later with transaction records available but like the newspaper report is suggesting as they conveniently understand “ no documents was shown” because they’ve got mumu’s like yourself ready to masturbate on everything they throw out there.

This matter has been dealt with at the NJC and has since been trashed cause there’s nothing to it but the evil ones of which you are clearly a part of would rather bring someone down over nothing with their usual media trial

I’m sure even in your myopic way of reasoning you should at least know that one judge can’t change anything in a case were there are either 5 or 7 justices sitting in a matter, or maybe he gifted all of them cars as well.

We talking of 2010 here, the man was barely 5 years in the Supreme Court with justices way ahead of him in the panel yet it was him that they bribed with a “car gift” to pervert Justice even after they know that it was a unanimous decision at the end of the day.

Nigeria indeed faces such dire future with such evil thoughts towards fellow citizens prevalent in the society.

Hard earned reputation ! Can you hear yourself speak

EFCC is an agency filled with Nigerians many of them honest hard-working people trying to barnish the evil of corruption from out lands and this is the best you can say.

Your children's lives are in peril if your thoughts are like this

Isn't the EFCC now desperate and going after trivial matters?

A 'car gift' is inconsequential compared to the damming allegations against Onoghen at the initial time.

Lawyers in this country should act professionally and always make recourse to their code of ethics and conduct manual. Issues bothering on Conflict of interest can be quite confusing; but the fact remains anything that puts you in a compromising situation or could have the potential to make you vulnerable. Now tell me a lawyer who has a case sitting in front of a judge offers to sell him a car with jaw dropping discount don't you think that could influence the judges judgment? It's common sense

Let’s put it proper context, truth be told he was listed among the retinue of lawyers usually listed by the Defence, Buhari in his own cases in court has listed no fewer than 50 at some point, the CJN listed 80 , some politicians I’ve had over a 100 lawyers listed, but in reality is it all of them who show up or have dealings with the actual case, answer in NO.

Should that mean life stops cause you suddenly became part of a case you didn’t see coming ?

Now, a car has been ordered from the US mind you second hand ( wonder how you claiming 7million in 2010 is “jaw dropping discount”) paid for in 2 installments.

The thing is the man in question has given testimony and shown documents to back up his claims but they never say all that cause the story that sells in public and damages a person reputation is what they would gladly put out there.
