*You can get a reference letter from them. Also add payslips if you have them or alternatively you can attach your statement of account to the reference letter highlighting salary payments into it during the time you worked with them.

*You can combine NOCs as long as you have a minimum of one year experience for each one.

*Play around with the CRS calculator to see what your scores would be using 2years and then 3years work experience respectively. If 2years work experience gives you a score you consider low then by all means combine NOCs, it's allowed.

*Work experience gained before graduation wouldn't count whether paid or unpaid.

Thank you bro, I have just played around the CRS calculator o, the difference was quite substantial, I will try to get reference letter for my NYSC year, do you know if my PPA can give this or must it be straight from NYSC?

As for my last Job, my salary wasn't really much and they even paid almost half the duration in cash, you just match to the cashier's office and she counts cash and gives to you, before accounts came much later. cry I can easily get a reference letter from them, the company has letter head and stamps, and is corporate affairs registered, dunno if those are enough?

You can add your employment letter and ID card, if you have them. You will also need to write a letter to explain that your salary is paid in cash.

1. PPA should give this. Don't forget to ensure your duties match with the appropriate NOC's and details such as work periods, remuneration, job titles, number of hours worked and other required details are all captured in the letter.

2. Yes, those are enough. Also write an LOE to indicate you were marching to the cashier's office paid in cash grin

Get the company to write the reference letter in CIC format stating clearly that you were paid in cash.

As for NYSC, you can get the reference letter from your PPA. However, there are people here who had challenges with getting reference letters from their PPAs so they had to prepare the letters themselves on plain sheets of paper listing their JD and attaching account statements showing payments of monthly allowance. If you are going with the second option, you might want to notarize the letter.

Hello all PLEASE i need help.

I just received my GCMS notes after almost 2 months and I’m in panic mode. My education and experience have not been met. My education and experience were not recognized. I attached WES document which was equivalent to master’s degree in Canada and my certificates when I submitted my documents initially. What should I do? Should I raise a CSE and attach documents again. My six months elapsed a week ago. Please what should I do? Plus there was a due date for 31st december 2018. Help me please.

Alright. Gracias bro. I think those are doable. I will also include my resignation letter from the job.

As for the Service year, do you think it will have more dignity if NYSC (government body) write's the reference letter? As a matter of fact they are the ones that employ and pay all corpers, and they are well know I guess.

Thank you bro,

But please forgive my ignorance, what does notarizing the letter mean?

I was thinking applying to the NYSC for a reference letter might solve all the problem, dunno if anyone has done that.

Hi, we would need some more detail. If it's possible you can attach screenshots of your notes blocking out sensitive information.

The bigger part of your NYSC employment was at your PPA. I suggest you go ahead and use your PPA. Will there be a problem in getting reference from them?

You need to look up the notary public close to you and have him or her witness and authenticate the contents of your letter. He/she will sign and put a seal on the letter, however, this comes at a small cost.

If you can get a reference from NYSC, that would be perfect. These Canadians are quite aware of the mandatory NYSC scheme so rest easy.

6 months post-AOR and education/experience have not been approved, this is peculiar. Please do as @joo2018 and @GozyNA have advised.

I wouldn't know until I try. I just thought NYSC was my employer for that period, and was hopping to support with things like my posting letter and co, and I was thinking the aura of .gov.ng will just reduce the wahala I will have to go through to convince them on that one, unless the VOs don't care about my Nigerian govt. grin

Thank you, I will try the NYSC option first, both the secretariat and PPA are not too far away, unless they don't work then we go the notary avenue. Thank you so much bro.

Lol@the bolded. Very well then. Try your PPA. If there's no show in that area, then you can bask in the .gov.ng aura. grin

Hello, everyone.
If one gets married after creating a profile in the express entry program to a man who also has a profile but both havent been given ITA. What is the implication....Can the man update his marital status and include the lady as his spouse OR both of them can just continue as singles....Thank you

Your marital status has changed. You should both update your marital status in your profiles.

Yes it will. Even for further studies in Canada. Some schools require degree evaluation from WES in particular as a part of their Admission Requirements.

Nice, not a bad move at all. Wish you the best with your process

The seniors in the house kindly advise. CRS with spouse is 441 and without spouse is 455, is it advisable to do spouse unaccompanying as cut off has reduced to drop or should we still hope that ot will drop soon. Hubby doesn't mind as he doesn't even plan to stay in Canada yet. Any major disadvantage of unaccompanying spouse?
