One of the students was very shocked on seeing this picture but it will never make him stop going to school

This is a bad mentality. A student who will end up as a surgeon for example should be able to understand things like these at elementary level.
The same way eddy-current losses concept becomes less important to doctors is the same way some biology topics becomes less important to computer engineers.
If at elementary level the students aren't exposed, to variety, then I wonder how they will ever discover their diverse talents and narrow down on which skill horn.

All I just have to say about the Education sector in Nigeria is for them to improve on practicals at elementary level
