About final year projects, you see those lecturers , they win research grants alot but will never use the money judiciously. They'll rather buy new cars, build houses, students hostels and carry young departmental and faculty girls, take them shopping, buy suya worth 5k for them and look for a nearby hotel for hot sex. That's why you will notice that many of them are usually richer than what they earn. Na research grants money. Now that research they were suppose to carry out, they have to meet their own end of the bargain else they will be denied future grants so they transfer the research to their PhD students (that's for professors) or Dr's , they give their msc and bsc students . That's why you notice most lecturers always force project topic on you. Even if they tell you to go and bring topic, na just wayo. They will still reject it and give you a supposedly "better" topic. It's the same reason why some lecturers will cancel your project after going a long way. It's because they want you to work on another thing or you're not doing what they really want.

After you've graduated and they've finished extracting the important things from your works, it suffers the same fate as the picture above.
