Dont worry urself about salary. Every year u get promoted and ur salary increases. In a year u would be earning above what majority of companies pay at your level except oil companies. That 180k or more is just a disguise. Before u know, it jumps to 250k, 300k, etc. Salary would be the least of ur worries when u get the job. [s]U wont even have the time to spend it. Alert would come in and u would feel nothing due to pressure[/s]. Here are a list of some pressures u will and must deal with as long as u get the job.

Pressure to be a high flyer, pressure to reconcile how u see/saw urself before the job versus how colleagues see u, pressure from the bullies, pressure to meet deadline, pressure to learn the work, pressure from pple being rude and talking down to u, pressure from people who are ur age mates or younger but are ur superiors and are bossing u around like ur dad, pressure to fit in, pressure to fill time sheet ( u must account for how u spend ur 8 hours everyday), pressure from traffic, pressure to look sharp always even when tired, pressure to work in teams with people u may not like, pressure to remain in touch with family and friends, pressure from feedback on the job, pressure from passing professional exams because everyone including ur managers and partners would ask u when result comes out, etc lmao grin grin cool
hahahaa...bro! Even Blood Money Corportation doesn't grow salary like this... Plus I want to feel my alert o grin, which kinda pressure is that? Haba! I already have these pressures, plus that of getting obstinate subordinates on track.
Life and work ought to balance...I no dey for that not being able to spend salary lifestyle.
Thanks for this... and @TheRealAdonye

As a graduate trainee, your pay is 180k monthly. So I was told by a friend who works there.

To those who are yet to get mails, keep your fingers crossed. Today is another day and mails are definitely going to drop too, so keep your hopes alive.

We're all going to make it to 5B come June.

Lmao

I did the practice perfectly!

I'm so sure about that. I encountered almost all the questions.

Life goes on dear. Hopefully you'll get more opportunities to try again. The tax apprenticeship program is one. I'm sure the future holds something good for you.

[quote author=ebonyalhjnr post=77015008]Please is there any particular dress code for the Verification test, or will Shirt, Jeans and sneakers suffice?

Actually for your verification test there is no dress code, just dress decently not like some club gangster lol. So a pant trouser and clean shirt will do. Definitely tucked in yeah and you good. Dont also forget you documents oh, it could be more strenuous than dresscode, lol

I totally understand how you feel, I was like that last year so sure that I was gonna get a SM(both GT&Tax apprenticeship)but it never came. Then my Dad told me not to give up and pursue my dream if that's really what I want, I did.
I just want to tell everyone not to give up on their dreams and pick up something else before they get to their dream destination.

Everything happens for a reason, that we were rejected doesn't mean we are not qualified enough for the post, time and chance are two factors that works for every human. As I was expecting my regret mail since there was no success mail.

I woke up yesterday and got a mind blowing email I never expected, the mail was sent 1:35am, I was lucky to be part of the 3050 applicants selected from over 216,000 applicants across Africa to be given $5,000 grant as an entrepreneur.

PWC regret mail dropped around 10am, but I have got a better result making me happy.

Please I need to get this clear, about graduate apprenticeship program, I saw this on last year GAP thread

"The pay is exactly the same as a graduate trainee. The term tax apprentice is synonymous to tax trainee. So you are a graduate trainee operating specifically as a tax trainee."

Is the claim correct?.

And also from last year GAP application details it was stated that after 1 year of completion, apprentice would be promoted to associate 2 rank.

What rank will a graduate trainee be promoted to after a year?

It feels so good to actually get a glimpse of this page.
Was in your shoes this time last year and was also assuming a lot of things and all but Glory to God . . I am now in the "fun firm to work with" . . Welcome to this year's recruitment process and I wish you guys the very best in subsequent stages

For those who got regret mail, the fight continues . . It's not the end of the world and surely plenty other offers will come your way and hey if you must work in PwC . . Why not go work for one year elsewhere and comeback as an experience hire next year, two years time?

In all welcome on board guys and I wish you the very best. As usual I love taking questions . . Feel free okay. Cheers

Please I got a success mail. However part of the requirements for the verification test invite is a NYSC discharge certificate. I don't have that yet as I am due to complete NYSC by July this year.
I want to know if that would be an issue..I live quite far from Lagos and I would not want to be disappointed.
Thank you.
Re: PwC Graduate Recruitment 2019 by davidmula: 11:03am On Mar 27, 2019
That will not be a problem, just ensure that by the time you are invited to pick up your employment letter, you have your discharge certficate ready okay

PwC keeps to its time .. infact if you come earlier than 11am, you could write your test immediately. I rememer I was slated for 12noon, got there 10:30am and was immediately asked if I was ready and I went in, finished even before 12noon

No dear. You will be provided with a financial calculator, Hp 12C financial calculator. I suggest you go on youtube and learn how to use it if you've not come across it before. Was a victim last year. Calculator is expensive so I learnt from YouTube this time.

Please oooo I'm still asking, does anyone know if calculators are allowed for the verification test?

Please what are the parts of the verification test? Will there be any essay writing?
