Reno says the Minister of agriculture as no say as he is the same man who wanted to import grass from Brazil for Nigerian cows

Oga, everyone are guilty of this,although I don't really support that of pizza importation but we Nigerians do crazy things at times just to show off, but the fact still remains that we don't appreciate our own things,this has been happening since our independent,there are two different versions of peak milk,but people love to buy the one that comes from Holland , but both are the same, what about u Mr reno,why are u in abroad,why your children are staying and studying in abroad,don't we have good schools here?, u are also having your medical check up over there, I remember one barrister songs of 1970's/early 80's that my dad use to listen to, where he said

FULL SPEECH : Ogbeh made this known during a budget defence session at the National Assembly on Tuesday.

Lamenting that Nigeria imports almost everything, the minister said, “Let nobody take it lightly, these guys have seized this country’s economy, taken us hostage and they have no intentions of giving up. Because this is a huge and very sweet market and they have taken control.

“Every time you bring in a shipload of rice, you also bring in a shipload of unemployment, because you are transferring your wealth to sustain other economies. Somehow, Nigerians didn’t notice it, so we became a nation of importers.

“Toothpick costs us $18 million; tomato paste costs us $400 million to import. Meanwhile, a basket in town is less than N2000; the farmers are losing money because the processors don’t have enough funds to set up factories.”

He also said, “We import milk, sugar, toothpick, toothpaste, pencil, items we don’t make; Vegetable, lettuce, cabbage come from South America through Dubai and arrives here for sale.

“There are also Nigerians who would rather have the imported item if it is not imported, it is not right, it shows status, class, that they only eat imported things.

Ogbeh added that “There are Nigerians who use their cellphones to import pizza from London. That’s where we are, and it’s a very annoying situation.”

But what does Audu Ogbe's first degree have to do with this all, even if every other criticism is true?

There are too many people who read a different course as their first undergraduate degrees before taking a different career trajectory in life. Too many.

He later worked in the New York and London offices of Goldman Sachs in 1993 before joining Zephyr Management as an investment manager where he rose to Principal in the Johannesburg office between 1995 and 1997.[5]

Minister Audu Ogbe's work description is Politician and Farmer, according to Wiki. As of 2009, he was chairman and managing director, Efugo Farms, Makurdi.

Even if he lied about people importing pizza from England, what does that have to do with his undergraduate degree? Reno was once in government. If they had converted Nigeria to Rwanda, not even UAE or Malaysia, in effectively handling the politics and economy, his party and principal wouldn't have been voted out of office.

Finally, it may not be false that some Nigerians, the super noveau-riche, may indeed be importing pizza from England when they crave for it. It may be an infinitesimal fraction of our population, but it doesn't mean it cannot happen - for crying out loud.
