It's very unethical and immoral to have a senate VP who is on trial for corruption, it's simply not good for the party and their talk against corruption.

I'm sure they will block him and they really should based on his on-gong trial regardless of what this man is saying about politics in the SE.
But he was the new the man to beat during the elections.....OUK,, Ntoooor

Igbos Have Themselves To Blame For Voting Atiku - APC

The ruling APC said it does not deserve any blame for not zoning the position of Senate President or Deputy Senate President to the South-East.

Rather it said the South-East should blame itself for queuing behind Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the PDP in the just concluded general elections.

The party was reacting to the outburst of Orji Uzor Kalu, who said that unless the APC makes him the Deputy Senate President of the 9th Senate, he will fight to become the Senate President.

Yekini Nabena, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of APC, in a chat with Daily Independent said while nobody is stopping Kalu from contesting for the position of Senate President, the reality is that he cannot win since the zoning arrangement didn’t favour him.

According to him, rather than getting angry with APC leadership, Kalu should blame his people in the South-East for putting all their eggs in one basket by rejecting President Muhammadu Buhari and casting over 90 percent of their votes for Atiku.

“That shouldn’t be a problem. He can contest for the position of Senate President. But the issue is, can he win? Nobody is stopping him from contesting. Igbo people always play themselves out. So, Kalu cannot blame APC.

“He should blame his own people from the South-East. He should blame them because they don’t know how to play politics. They play politics like a one-way thing. They all voted for Atiku in the presidential election. So, now that Atiku lost, who will help people like Orji Kalu? 99.9 percent of them followed Atiku.

“So, what is Kalu crying for? He should go back to his people and educate them on how politics is played especially at the national level. They should play 50-50. If this one didn’t work, the other can work.

“So, Orji Uzor Kalu must go back to his people and educate them because he himself is not worthy to be Senate President or Deputy Senate President. So, if he wants to contest, he can do so. Nobody is stopping him. But I know that he cannot win”, he said.

The last time I checkwd,Nigeria is not a one-party stare. The whole of the country cannot vot for just one party,. A country without an opposition party(ies) is unhealthy. It isn't about tribe.

I believe 'winner takes it all' is a normal norm in the Presidential system of government, and at such won't blame APC if they fail to zone any of the Senate's Presiding Officer to the SE.

It is their choice. But they should know that the Igbo man will always thrive no matter the condition.

Sideline us, incapacitate us, come for our heads, we'll still find a way to survive, as far as the sun rises; our sons and daughters will be informed of the acts of this government, for reference purposes.

You might call it harboring hatred, and passing it to the next generation. Who cares?
nobody is asking you not to thrive or survive. You cant heap hate on anybody associated with APC simply cos its Buharis party and repect them in tum to hand over the senate presidency. By the way, how many ranking senators(APC) are from the south east.how many of their aspirants didigbos vote in. so its only fair if they zone the seat to another region. Till igbos learn to play politics with maturity and their heads not just on tribal sentiments. and im igbo by the way

Politics is a game of numbers and Uzor kalu should not expect a region that gave Buhari 39% be placed under him.

The south/south deserves the position of the deputy senate president.
D emergence of SP is usually an internal arrangement. It is based on d popularity of d candidates that present themselves 4d office. Orji kalu delivered 4 APC in his own little way. If he didn't get d needed support to emerge as SP, I don't c what that has got 2do with d voting pattern of igbos in d last elections
Re: Senate Presidency: Igbos Have Themselves To Blame For Voting Atiku— APC by doctokwus: 1:36pm On Mar 28, 2019
On the contrary, the Ibos have been vindicated for not voting that scam of a president.
In 2015,they were told they couldn't be Senate president because there is no APC senator from the region.
Fast forward 2019,about 4 senators are now from the region, under APC,including a ranking, returning senator from Imo state, yet the fraudsters and bigots did not as much as even give a second thought to the region, and have rushed to install a Northerner as SP.
What of ranking senators of the APC from the SS.Not a second consideration!
It's far better than the Ibos rejected Buhari and all the satanic things he stands for as president, for the 5th time!!

Serves him right. He is representing himself and his pocket not even Abia state people, not to talk of Igbos, if APC think they are spiting the igbos then they have missed it cos Igbos really dont care.

APC would be unfair not to give SS the DSP

You can give SE deputy chief whip. Those region deserve no political dividends

Let them lobby for minority leader from PDP they blindly and ignorantly voted for

you don't want them to hold critical post

you don't want them to vote who they want to

you can't repair roads leading to the seaport for them

Now they want to leave Nigeria and form their own country
you opposed that
,
why then do you want them to stay??

U keep.on showing ur frustration. If Igbos say...let us be on our own and have our own territory, u will start crying like ur mother wants to leave u. Why do u want people u don't like? Is it not a sign of confusion?
The Igbos are bold enough to give a sitting president the middle finger, do u know why... We can always survive on our own...give us some credit and stop hating.

Apc does not understand the meaning of unity. They play divisive politics and look for excuses. They may regret their actions soon.

Are Igbo’s not Nigerians? Didn’t sm or many Igbo’s not vote for Apc both in Presidential and gubernatorial? What is wrong with Apc and sectional/vindictive behavior.

I have never seen Pdp accuse any tribe or section in this country since 1999.
Am an APC sympathizer, the South East ought to have gotten at least a leadership post in NASS irrespective of their voting pattern. APC not doing enough in unifying the Nation.

Small small, dem don dey show OUK red card. In a very 'unsurprising' move, they will resurrect his case with EFCC in court to completely neutralise him after using him to reduce votes and make the inroads they did against IPOB and politics generally in the East especially Abia state. Suddenly he is not worthy to be Senate President or Deputy and he has to go and teach his people politics..lol
What are you saying? What ground does Orji Kalu or the SE have to demand for the Senate Presidency?

I am from the SE but politics is not played that way. The NE delivered the second largest votes to President Buhari in the last election. Why deprive them in favour of the SE where the president didn't win in a single state?

What slots will then be given to the NC and SS that did better? Isn't it fair enough that the SE enjoyed the Deputy President position in the last four years of the APC administration?
