But a pol science career would most likely not cut it here. I can't say of what MSC you might want to go for. In Canada, when you apply for job and the minimum requirement is a Bsc..your msc would just be on your resume as a space filler and won't improve your chances of landing the job or make you more qualified than other guys with a bsc applying for same job.

Germany or Canada?
If Canada, not sure of how a phd in pet would help here in our battered oil industry. You can complete the Phd and might find it easier to move to the US for better opportunities. Depending on your banking experience, you can still continue your career in a bank. You could earn good salary if outside branch banking, but if your experience is in branch banking, your savings after all expenses on a 500k job in Nigeria would likely be more than savings from branch banking wage in Canada. However you also have to consider the non monetary factors that a developed country has to offer like higher standard of living.

Thank you, one of my classmate moved from Germany after 15 years.he Joined the Police force here in the Uk as we speak. He told me that can never happen in Germany.I don't know how true but that was what he said. There loads of Nigerian Doctors, Engineers, lawyers in the UK

I have been in Germany for 5 years now moving from Berlin to Hamburg to Düsseldorf, I have not seen a black police man in Germany. Germany is not use to blacks or other foreigners with less bright color, western part is liberal but eastern part is home of racism.

It’s the same in every western nation. Preference to the native white over all . Except you got something exceptional to offer . Not been to Canada but witnessed the trend in east coast US and England. Tolerance is better in US though but overall no where is easy. The problems we have in Africa is different from the problems that will be encountered in the west (as an African ) but then challenges are challenges no matter how it presents itself.

Don’t have to come to Canada . Never found it attractive. Lived in DC area for four years and made trips to Buffalo a few times but never found a reason to cross over . Americans see Canada the way Nigerians see Niger. Canadians are not as open minded as Americans (met a few of them) and can only imagine what they are like at home . If it was such an attractive place why is the Express entry program only attractive to citizens of third world countries ? Haven’t heard of Europeans and americans take advantage of it in large numbers.

I read Geology First degree.

While Geology is a very good course i.e STEM, the oil sector in Canada is not doing so well. This doesn't mean you can't or wont get a job, it might not just come easy as it used to. If you were coming for Msc in Geologu, I would try and channel my energy towards an msc program that has a good content of geotechnical engineering or science. Lots of jobs for geotechnical (civil) guys. So you want to make sure your course is not restricted.

Germany allows dual citizenship on certain circumstances. One of such is if it’s difficult to renounce your old citizenship. I hope you’re aware that it’s very difficult to renounce Nigerian citizenship? Many Nigerians here have both Deutsche and Nigerian citizenship.

How many PhD holders get between $15m - $200m in less than 2 hours to punch someone, how many educationalists get paid a contract of £120k/wk to kick a ball around for around 1hr 30mins or less. How many professors can afford to buy a Bugatti Veyron, McLaren, Lamborghini etc anytime they like. Education is just another matrix system to keep the masses in the pockets of the rich, the engine room to help keep the rich getting richer, while they pay you peanuts. This is 2019, education is an option, not the ultimate .
