I am still wondering the relationship between someone's hair style and academic performance of the person

Hmmm...... hair attachments are allowed..... must blend with your natural hair...but wearing your natural hair in natural dreadlocks is not allowed.

Lagos state government says parents shouldn't pay for their wards Junior Waec examination. My son attends Baptist Academy, Lagos and we had already registered and paid over 50k for Neco and Waec. My husband heard the news yesterday and he is telling me to go to the school. I'm confused Baptist is a missionary school, pls does it also apply to private schools in Lagos? I also need someone to educate me more because he says is not Waec that coordinate Junior Waec examination. Thanks

I doubt If it will cover private school ...lasg can't subsidize private schools fees

This's highly unnecessary in that the school should concentrate more on the positive development of the mind of the students by qualitative researched studies that'll impart their minds and enhance their mental power towards positive thinking and see them gradually stop all those obscene and wayward ways!

DRESS CODE

FEMALE TUDENTS

1) No coloured attachments (red, green, white).

2) Colour attachment must blend with the colour hair and must be shoulder length.

3) No tattered jeans, legging, tights, bum shorts, and sagging of trousers.

4) No spaghetti tops, sleeveless boluses or dresses that would expose the armpit or sensitive parts of the body like the breast, navel, e.t.c. Trousers must not be too tight, skirts must also not too tight and must be below the knees.

5) Facial make-ups must be moderate and not seductive.

6) Polishing of finger nails must be moderate and not seductive

7) No wearing of bathroom slippers/palm slippers

No dread locks ( rastaman styles )

9) No wearing of heavy haircuts and hand band/bangles

10) Dirty clothes not allowed.

11) Face caps not allowed

12) Eye lashes not allowed

13) No tattoos, dark glasses not allowed except on medical grounds.

14) T – shirts with the inscription of political parties or club not allowed

1) Well trimmed hair, no dyeing or partings, curling, weaving, braiding, dread locks e.t.c.

2) Bushy mustache and beards not allowed

3) Ear rings not allowed, hand bands not allowed.

4) Tattoos, face caps, transparent shirts, singlet, customized T- shirts for clubs not allowed.

5) Eye glasses not allowed except recommended on medical ground.

6) No sagging of trousers, no wearing of shorts or tights/legging.

7) Hair must be low cut.

Palm slippers/ Rubber slippers not allowed

The Faculty colours for students is WHITE and GRAY

1) Top – White ( short / long sleeve )

2) Trousers – Gray ( No slim fit/ No sagging/No low waist

Corporate dressing is accepted on Fridays for any students who wants to wear them instead of native attires.

If this information is real, then we have better atmosphere in uniben... Before you wil enter the campus, from main gate you will think they are doing maqurade festival.

Welcome to usman dan fodio university. Sokoto.(udusok) All these rules works there, you violate them and it's either you are handed a semester rustification or u r withdrawn completely. Even a guy cant keep afro peacefully..

Abnormal dressing is part of unseriousness but this aint how to go about it by settings dressing rules and regulations.

Why cant the school mgt task the lecturers to ensure students time are devoted more to study through more assignment, class work and homework. Scripts marked based on merits under strict marking scheme whereby no prefenrential trtmt for anyone. It will make most students to be more Serious about their academics and in essense developed them to what the schl mgtmt intended them to become.
Futa is really good in this area cos i still remember those guys n ladies that were dressing anyhow in yr 1 were forced to conformed to normal dressing when enough carryovers has placed them on verge of dropping out. Mosque n fellowship attendant became more frequent for them. Just as the saying goes an idle mind is devils workshop

While some of the rules are okay, others are way too repressive. The university environment should be conducive and encourage varying expressions and lifestyles without promoting indiscipline.

Asking female students to wear skirts at knee length is okay but asking students not to wear glasses or T-shirts to express their political views is just laughable in a university.

Nowhere is authority more abused than in black Africa.

Im sure the school authority are tired, frustrated and have no choice than to come these hard on the students.

I know it can't work though but I guess some drastic action need to be done in all our institution to end all the mess going on in campuses. And all school authority should criminalise all cultism and be firm on decision to rusticate any student find guilty of cultism.

when unilorin did something like this people were calling them all sort of names, fact is, Nigerians are taking this fashion of a thing to something else and drastic decision must be taken to combat it.

Oh my UNIBEN! This is not necessary na. In overseas even our male professors plait hairs and put on earings. We should be more concerned about the quality of graduates we produce and not how they choose to dress.
