I am sure you don't live in Lagos. If you do mention where you live and let's start with the roads around you. You drive a car in Lagos and you'll have every reason to curse ambode and his generations every day. Big pot holes in the middle of the roads and they just abandone it.

It so painful to see people praise the useless governor. I don't know where these people praising him live and I wonder if they fly in the sky from their house to work or places of business. You cannot be living in Lagos especially if you have a car and not curse this useless governor everyday. You have to be dodging pot holes like you are playing video games.

He just abandoned everything and focused on his useless bus terminal business.

Just look at the removal of posters for example after the election. During fashola's time, they had an advance way of removing the posters with a particular machine and water spray. It won't take you 10 minutes to remove almost 50posters, but now I see people removing posters with some archaic tool. Spending almost 30 minutes to remove 2 posters.
Trailers park on the bridges and nothing is done. I remember how Fashola didn't rest until he found a space for the trailers to go park during his tenure.

Now some crazy people are praising a useless governor that did nothing.

We saw his effort, He tried to build a Bus Station in Oshodi. It is Tinubu that didn't see his effort because Money didn't enter his Pocket enough, Good thing is there is continuity. the projects will continue because it is the same Party.

That's why even though Jimi Agbaje is a good man, It will benefit the state more if APC continues, so those projects can be completed. Opposition government are usually there to create checks & balances, honestly they themselves don't have any other plans than to embezzle funds.

I am all for the people & not a political party, changing governments doesn't usually benefit the people honestly because New Government comes with New Laws & New schemes. APC tarnished Sure P, not because It was bad but they needed their own scheme to embezzle funds just as the previous government.

The dollar is stable now & this stability may continue until a new Government takes over. Remember during OBJ's time, the dollar was stable at 100 - 120 Naira until he left. Once minister of Finance & Governor of Central Bank changes. New financial schemes will be introduced, this is what damages the country because those schemes are not to benefit the common man but themselves.

The devaluation of the Naira benefited some set of people and made the whole country miserable.

My point being: The reason for any decision taking by any government is NEVER to benefit the common people. We are not in their equation & most new schemes are just fund their personal Wallets.

Just as the popular saying goes, what has a beginning will surely come to a logical end one day. Gradually the days are drawing closer, in a twinkling of an eye, in exactly 2 months from now, the baton of leadership will change hands, Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode will cease to be the executive governor of Lagos but his works, ideas, and contribution in making Lagos a mega-city will forever linger on for ages.

Part of Gov. Ambode's legacy is the Airport Road. The Airport Road used to be a nightmare to all road users, it was so bad that Ambode has to take permission from the Federal Government to rebuild this road, according to him, first impression matters, those coming to Lagos for the first time pass through this route all the way to Oshodi, what impression are we giving them if we can not build a road leading to the airport.

The road construction started 2 years ago, though the work was meant to have been completed since October last year we sensed its due to the political tussle in the state. According to a post by Tony Nwajei who gives a first-hand reportage of the site...

I was taking someone back to Murtala Muhammed International Airport yesterday but she stayed glued to the on-going Oshodi/Airport road construction to the extent that she couldn’t help but ask if the projects is FG’s because of the gigantic size and I responded that it is Ambode’s led Lagos Government project. That moment I noticed she was stunned and she quickly adds that If a Governor could do this much and still could not get another chance to do more then something is wrong somewhere!

If you understand the relevance of this road to the former Nation’s capital or have plied this route in time past you will understand her interest on that road.

Irrespective of the prism you view him, Ambode remains No 1 performing governor till date considering the uncountable people-centered projects currently on-going across the nook and crannies of the state.

Despite the fact that he will be vacating Alausa Government House come May 29th, he is one governor Lagosians and Nigerians will not forget in a hurry!

I pray the incoming governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu takes the baton firmly from him and ensures it never drop.

Brilliant post. That international airport road has to compare with
some of the best airport entry and exit routes I have seen on
some of my international air trips. No settling for less.

Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode has been quite innovative and the Gov-elect.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy Gov-elect. Hamzat have to up
their inner games too to leave a legacy behind.
