Fashola failed to prove to us he has the capacity to make changes. By now our rivers are supposed to be working for us, a dam is wasting away close to is backyard I was expecting him to take control and things working upright. We should have more than 3000 jobs created through solar energy by now. This man has done nothing.

but the crazy thing is that 60% of yorubas follow him. Just imagine wat fashola would have done if he didnt have the tinubu load on his neck. If he didnt have to make concessions to tinubu.

Fashola wanted a different person to replace him. Tinubu chose ambode and yorubas supported him. 4 years later tinubu is telling them to support sanwo olu....that ambode failed. The same fools are supporting him again.

I knw fashola isnt so great. Many of the 2007-2015 govs did great. Akpabio, sullivan chime, kwankwaso etc

But fashola is much much much a better leader than the ever tribalistic tinubu.

Yorubas will say that igbos should be more concerned about abia state. Yes we are very concerned about that. But if u look beyond pettiness u will see that lagos is very important to every tribe in nigeria. It is nigerias first major city and it was built with money from all parts of nigeria. Allowing a greedy, tribal mad man like tinubu to decide solely who gets what in Nigeria's New york is very dangerous and counter productive.

[/s]Tinubu started new Lagos, he was the one behind fashola, Ambode and the incoming one. So keep your complaint to your state governor.

lol...fashola laid both the foundation and the brick wall. Wat Tinubu did was to use lagos to found a political and business empire. He didnt do it for yorubas. He did it for himself and his presidential ambitions.

that is a big lie. By 2007 lagos was as bad as it was in 1999. Yes he brought fashola out. But made it difficult for the man to really do wat he wanted to do for lagos. Tinubu is not the driving force of lagos. He is the bane of lagos

A performing gov like ambode forced out because one man wants to be very powerful. Wat that means is that any good gov can be forced out once he go against tinubu interests. Very gross and sad really

Yorubas giving haters hypertension. This is definitely someone suffering from post election loss trauma and psychiatric disorders which has lead to mental imbalance and hallucination.

Made what difficult? Yet fashola spent 8years? Are you really OK? Tinubu has tried a lot in Lagos. Yes, he embezzled, but can you show your own state pictures in 2007 when Tinubu was governor?

Don't mind them, Jagaban did not lay any foundation, Agbari Oju-iku laid the foundation when he ran away to Ivory Coast after sacrificing three millions of his stubborn brethren to the Yoruba gods of Ogun, Sango, Oya, Obatala and Aiyelala.

Development in any society must be progressive in nature how can Lagos of 2007 when Tiunbu left be the same in 2015. Who recognise ability of Fasola and sold him to Lagosian.

Bede2u.

In your region. You have these Governors :

1. A statue builder 2. A useless drunkard 3. A kerosene distributor.

Yet you are concerned about leaders of a place miles away who have national recognition and fame. PLUS they don't give a shiit about you.

A Leader is a reflection of his followers. Remember that.

I have made my point. Those who live in lagos irrespective of tribe should digest my point.

If u allow nairaland tribal jabs to replace reality...na u sabi. But go and meet phyno and tell him that he is an osu flat head and he should leave lagos. Believe me...the soldier who will flog u for him will be ur fellow yoruba man.

Every nigerian has a stake in the state he lives in. In enugu where i live...there are hundreds of thousands of northerners. We never insult them or belittle them or say enugu belongs to igbos. No. Infact the 1st mayor of enugu was a fulani man. Think on that.

Yorubas should be more matured

They will soon tell you how Tinubu laid the foundation for development in Lagos by surviving without allocations from the federal government.

Mooron,

During the Biafran war, cowardly Yoruba soldiers had white mercenaries and military police matching behind them in the front lines so, they don't break their lines and flee. It's not a coincidence that the first recorded POW in the Biafran war was General Adisa, then a Lieutenant. This same person was caught on camera kneeling, weeping and, begging a junior officer Al'mustapha. Now you want to talk about bravery.

YOU can decide what happen in Lagos.
Don't wait for Tinubu to retire, start running things in Lagos... the change begins with YOU!

What concern the Yorubas in this matter?
Igbos make up 55% of the population of Lagos and own 60% of it's economy.
Lagos is not a Yorubaland but a no man's land.

Onitsha, World's Dirtiest City

Approaching Okpoko market through thick smog on the back of an okada (motorcycle taxi), the natural reaction is to cover your nose to protect yourself from the dust storm – but the effort is futile.

When a lorry zooms past, kicking up yet another red cloud of dirt, a trader turns the head of a sleeping toddler away from the road, a protective act that is as poignant as it is pointless.

This is a typical day in the southern Nigerian port city of Onitsha – which last year gained notoriety when it was ranked the worst city in the world for the staggering levels of PM10 particulate matter in its air.

Onitsha’s mean annual concentration was recorded at 594 micrograms per cubic metre by the World Health Organization – massively exceeding the WHO’s annual guideline limit for PM10s of 20μg/m3.

PM10 refers to coarse dust particles between 10 and 2.5 micrometres in diameter, while PM2.5s are even finer and more dangerous when inhaled, settling deep in a person’s lungs. Sources of both include dust storms, gases emitted by vehicles, all types of combustion, and industrial activities such as cement manufacturing, construction, mining and smelting. Onitsha scores highly on most of the above – as do other rapidly growing Nigerian cities such as Kaduna, Aba and Umuahia, all of which also featured in the WHO’s 20 worst offenders for PM10s.

In Onitsha’s very busy Okpoko market, my air quality monitor registers 140 for PM10s and 70 for PM2.5s – all way over recommended healthy levels, but still nothing compared to the readings triggered in other parts of this densely populated commercial and industrial hub.

The entire vicinity of the market is perpetually dusty, as wood-sellers saw lumber into different shapes and sizes. The air here is made worse by all the fine sand particles that fly off the back of trucks as they visit one of the many dredging companies on the bank of the River Niger, just behind the wood market.
