With the ongoing rumor that innoson motor Ltd has taken over the leadership of GTB has been countered and declared fake as alleged false information to cause panic on the Bank's customers.

However, the purported judgment has never been against GTBANK. it has been between INNOSON and NIGERIA CUSTOM SERVICE BOARD/EFCC.

public should take note on what they read and believe.

No one in right sense would believe this anyway, it goes against the civil process and Innoson could get in deep legal water if he were to do that....but I believe the man himself has good legal advisors that would advise against such action if he were to contemplate it.

It depends on if the bank is refusing to obey the supreme court order. If for instance you are indebted to me to the tune of 5K and you refuse to pay after a verdict in my favour, i am legally entitled to auction your car worth millions to get my 5k. That's also how banks recover their money.

So if truly Innoson got a verdict against GTB it would be wise for them to pay up.

It hasnt even been addressed bh an Appeal Court, not to mention Supreme Court. Its all hype!! Only fools believe in the nonsense grin

GTBank must pay and will pay, once it has exhausted all legal options and still end up on the losing side.

But that paying N8.8b will cripple the bank is what I have proven to be impossible.

Was a biological weapon used on you Yorubas during the civil war or God intentionally disconnected your brain cells at creation?

Are you not aware that everyday that money is not paid, it yields an interest of over 100 million naira? Now that it is 8 billion, do you know the interest it will be accumulating daily?

I can remember last year when you lots tribalised the whole issue and even a MOD joined on the melee. Please call the afonja Muslim heading GT Bank at VI to pay up that money. We need it at Nnewi. Imagine what 8 billion will do to Anambra economy. Innoson will tar more roads at Nnewi now.

The federal high court order was to enforce the ruling, ab initio writ of FiFa. That is why they can go ahead and start sealing off Gtb assets. According to reports they have already sealed of some and by Monday they will proceed to others until they are able to get back their money.

What you are how seeing online is deliberate propaganda by Gtb and to some extent Innoson group.
The supreme court judgement was not that Innoson can take over the company Gtb. But that through the Writ of FiFa, Innoson can take over some of their physical assets like buildings until the company is able to pay up what they owe Innoson.
The federal high court in Anambara has already given innoson the go ahead to take over the Gtb buildings there, based on the Supreme court ruling. I believe by next week Innoson will want to continue this trend of sealing of Gtb branches until they are able to come around to some arrangement.

That is what the Writ of Fifa represents. It gives Innoson the legal authority to move against GTB properties/assets

The Supreme Court passed the judgement of debt owned to Inno son by gtb.

But to collect the money,they went to apply for fifa(right to seize property) to collect their money which was granted.

The FHC is to enforce the collection of money the Supreme Court rightfully believe that innoson was owed.

Dey here dey speak grammar, Innoson has already sealed off GTB branch in headbridge and I believe many will follow by Monday.
To make matters worse, he still has another pending case of N14b in Supreme Court. He has already won in both FHC and Court of Appeal. They are now in Supreme Court. I don't know how GTB got trapped like this. They could have settled this matter long before now.

You misunderstand. You can't just go ahead and auction. If GTB has refused to pay in spite of a supreme court verdict then he can the court to get an order to seize their property. If i am not mistaken that is what has been done
