You're probably not Yoruba so you won't understand. "Do I look like I have tribal marks" is commonly used when implying that you're not stupid, local or old-fashioned. A lot of new generation Yorubas don't have tribal mark, so they won't see anything wrong with the statement. But in all fairness, it's an insult to people with tribal marks.
