An innocent Young man has just been shot dead by armed robbers in Eleme Town, Rivers State, Groovenaija360 Reports.

It was gathered that the man is from Ogoja, Cross River State and teaches in a school in Eleme town.

The tragic incident occurred after Phone thieves stormed a phone shop in the High tension Area of Aleto community in Eleme, where the deceased charged his phone and shot him in the chest after he went to collect his fully charged phone unknown to him that there are robbers in the shop.

He (the deceased) was rushed to a nearby clinic where he was confirmed dead.

Efforts to reach out to his people via his phone were made as at the time of filing this report.

I heard weapons were imported into Rivers state during the elections over a decade ago. Those weapons have been used for militancy. After amnesty, its obvious that those weapons are now been used for gun-running, cultism and armed robbery. God save Rivers State. RIP young man
