Once upon a time, I was terribly hungry but there was nothing close I could take. So I decided to try putting some rice on the fire. I knew i didn't read Home Econs but I use to see people cooking. I fried all the friables, washed all the washables. Added some water to the fried and pour the rice in it and closed it. Before 20 minutes the food had started burning and still strong with water still in it. I knew i had missed it because keeping it on the fire means burning the whole food. I quickly took it down and dumped it where it belongs and rushed to mama put. My brain became tabula rasa as regarding how to salvage the food from total condemnation. In this situation ; the food still has water and is not done yet it is burning, what could be the solution?

It seems you were stirring the rice constantly whilst it was on the fire. Don't stirr it once it starts boiling so that it won't start burning.

In the case of burning rice that is not yet done, just transfer to another pot, making sure to avoid adding the burnt bottom contents of the pot. Add enough water and start cooking again till it's done.

Like rice, cover the top surface with black polytine nylon.
