Brilliant post and shows a lot of the ability of Iwobi. I hope Emery finds a way to coin a genius out of Iwobi.

Not everyone is talented, but with hard work, you can become better. iwobi is an hard worker, and if he continues like this, he is not far from being a world class player.

With Nacho's talent, if the guy was focused and hard-working, may be Ighalo would be history by now in our team.

Ronaldo is an example

William Troost-Ekong: ‘Playing for Nigeria best decision ever’

By Oluwashina OkelejiFootball Writer, Nigeria

BBC Sport

Udinese defender William Troost-Ekong says switching allegiance from the Netherlands to Nigeria was his best career decision ever.

The 25-year-old, who was born in the Netherlands to a Dutch mother and Nigerian father, represented the European nation at youth level before switching allegiance to Nigeria.

After winning an Olympic football bronze medal in 2016 and playing at the 2018 World Cup, the centre-back is looking forward to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles.

"I think the decision to play for Nigeria has to be the best ever for me," Troost-Ekong told BBC Sport.

"We have some amazing and talented players in Nigeria and to get a chance to play for a great country like ours is an honour and immense privilege.

"You cannot force anyone to choose Nigeria, you must love the country and be committed to it or you don't brother.

"Personally, I will be grateful for the opportunity and everything Nigeria has given to my career.

"I've fulfilled some dreams by playing at the Olympic Games and on the biggest stage [World Cup] in Russia, now I look forward to living another dream by playing at the Africa Cup of Nations.

"I couldn't see too far ahead but I couldn't have imagined all of that is happening in my career now at a young age.

"But here I am and it's thanks to hard work, the coaches, our fans and my teammates who have all been supportive."

Troost-Ekong signed a four-year deal with Udinese in August from Turkish side Bursaspor, where he scored three goals in 32 games.

He started his career with the Tottenham Hotspur youth side in England before returning to the Netherlands to join Groningen in 2013 and played on loan at Dordrecht, before a switch to Belgian club Gent in 2015.

He had a successful season-long loan stint at Norway's FK Haugesund in the 2015/16 season, followed by eight appearances for Gent before his quest for regular first-team football led to a move to Turkey in summer 2017.

Troost-Ekong made his debut for the three-time African champions in a match against Chad on 13 June 2015 and played all three matches for Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Now established player for the country, he won Olympic football bronze with Nigeria at the 2016 Rio Games and has scored once in 30 appearances for the Super Eagles.

Iheanacho should not dear move. Even if Rodgers brings in another striker he favours, Nacho should keep his head down and soak as much knowledge as he can.

At least he should spend a year with Rodgers. It is very hard for players to get this kind of opportunity.

When the chances comes for Nacho to play, he will be playing in an offensive system that suits and will bring out his quality.
ok sir let me agree with you,

but do not later bring system as to why this, or that,
and finally, he should kiss afcon bye,

maybe he should be eyeing the u-23.s

Hope you know zaha is playing for crystal palace which is a small club?

Yes i know mane is better than zaha but that doesnt mean zaha is not world class

How many assist has mane even gotten this season? No b only 1 assist?

Zaha has created more chances than mane this season na

Mane played for Southampton which is a small club before he moved to liverpool, there is nothing mane did at Southampton that zaha has not done at crystal palace.

Zaha will shine for any epl big club, he was never given a chance by man united, he was signed and he played only 2 game then he was shipped out on loan, i am saying this before some people go come call am man u flop.

Dont berate zaha

finally

MANE IS A BETTER PLAYER THAN ZAHA

But if we see truth make we talk sha
I'm not berating Zaha. I'm just saying he isn't elite.

I've already said he's a very good player but I just don't think he's better than Mane and Son.

Bar Injury, he's going to top strike for us at the Afcon 2019, as long as Rohr remains our manager.

My reservation is on Samu. IF Samu replicates his club form in the SE will that be instrumental in our AFCON exploits? Or are u just judging the player by his age? If Samu was 27, would he be good enough for AFCON then?

AIG07:
when did improving/developing a player becomes the job of a national team coach. The NT is not a grooming center. That's why I am not in support of Samu joining the team for AFCON when there are options of playing for the age grade teams(where grooming takes place).

Players are invited to the national team to replicate their club performances. It's either you deliver or you are out. These set of players are even lucky. Imagine If Obagoal, had received half of the repeated chances given to nacho and Ighalo to redeem themselves. I bet you he would have been our second all time goal scorer just behind Yeking. Nacho and Ighalo have enjoyed a very rare grace. Just think of it. They both went 1year as Eagle's striker without a goal. Yet they were always the first on the list.

How many days do the players spend with these coaches when on national assignments. So cut Rohr{though not fan of his) some slack.

If we are to go by your claim, it is better he stay out of the national team till the time Rohr sees out his contract.

tbaba1234:
“Oyibo Eaglet” – Nigeria U17 Include Two Players Born Abroad In Final Squad For U17 AFCON

For the first time in the history of Nigeria U17 teams two players born outside the shores of Nigeria have made the squad for the 2019 U17 Africa Cup of Nations ‎, which serves as qualifiers for the World Youth Championship.

Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered that Chelsea teen forward Adrian Akande and young Bournemouth goalkeeper Joseph Oluwabusola made the final list of 23 players selected for the tournament by coach Manu Garba.

Oluwabusola is not new to the team as he was part of the team to the WAFU B U17 Championship which Nigeria won to seal progress to the Africa U17 Cup of Nations but he could easily have missed out on the list of players to the tournament if not for the fact that first choice goalkeeper John Amah failed the mandatory Magnetic Resonance Imaging test, which is usually done to curb the menace of age cheats.

Akande on his part impressed the handlers of the team after training with the team for one week in Abuja and the omission of some forward players who are regulars in the team ‎due to the MRI test helped his inclusion in the final squad for the tournament which will begin on the 14th of April in Tanzania.

Overall four players born outside the shores of Nigeria took part in the screening exercise in Abuja but the duo of former Barcelona Escola Kelechi Ebenezer Ibe-Torti and Go Ahead Eagles Lateef Omidiji Junior were not considered good enough for the Nigerian team.

Abeg icons mention coaches when dey fall to the factor of foreign-born.

Icon4s:
For Lateef Omidiji I think his age and size could be a major factor. He is still very much a developing player. Still elligible for the next U17 and should give it another shot.

Kudos to Manu for not falling to the factor of "foreign born" to include him. If he is not good enough then he should be dropped.
