Your question wrongly presented and as such you can not get any value from it.

Goals is not the issue but role, it's possible that Balogun could have scored mire goals than Virgil Van Dyke. Would you then say that Balogun is a better defenderhuh

Giroud may not score too many goals but he adds to his goals presence and hold up play. Firmino nay nit be the best striker but apart from goals he backtracks and is creative with the addition of link up play.

I am sorry your question is unbecoming of some one who should really know a lot more.
Iheanacho has scored 30 goals in his role as striker while Solanke has 1

So what are you saying? Why are you trying to bring defenders into this. Don't try to be clever by half

It's irrelevant how many goals he KC has scored it's not the context to determine attribute football role and or position.

What l am saying which you have refused to acknowledge is quite simply that KC is not a striker, a true No.9, essentially.

But you wish to muddy the waters by making a comparison with Solanke. Who has no interest in playing for Nigeria.

The comparison made with KC to Solanke is not about performances but role. Just as I would rate Tega Onomah, Brown Ideye, Onuachu, etc as true number 9 forward players even Osimhen.

KC has scored a total of 16 goals from 94 games in the EPL. But that's not that important, in football the context is ALWAYS present continous and maybe immediate past. In 48 games and two seasons in Leicester City he has scored 4 goals that's the relevant current context. Much more disturbing is that he has scored. ONE GOAL all season that's a big problem.

Salah has scored near 20 goal for Liverpool this season does that make him therefore a strikerhuh

There are many defenders who have scored more goals than KC this season should they then become strikers.huh

So stop being mischievously contentious.

Keep to the context of the discourse.

Which l repeat is simply that KC is not w striker he just doesn't have the attributes to be a true number 9.

So you think any forward thinking club will buy a player who has not defined a role for himself in football and has scored ONE GOAL since the beginning of the season.

Sodje raises alarm over influx of foreign coaches to Super Eagles

By Alex Monye | 08 April 2019 | 4:08 am

Former Super Eagles defender, Sam Sodje has raised the alarm over the influx of foreign coaches to the national team’s coaching crew.
He is worried that the large number of foreign coaches working with Coach Gernot Rohr is ridiculing Nigerian coaches, adding that it is denying trained and qualified local coaches the opportunity to get the necessary experience.

Sodje said he is worried that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) keeps spending money on foreign coaches without getting the desired results, stressing that the Eagles posted the worst result in its World Cup history in 2018. Nigeria, he said, was kicked out of the competition in the group stage despite the presence of foreign coaches on its bench.

On the chances of the Super Eagles in this year’s Nations Cup, the former Leeds United of England player said Nigeria would only excel in Egypt if the coach worked hard to build a formidable team.

He noted that Nigeria has what it takes to be champions of Africa owing to the young and committed players in the squad, adding, however, that the Eagles coaches must fashion out a distinct playing pattern for the team.

“I am worried that in the Super Eagles team we have about five foreign coaches working with Gernot Rohr. This is slavery.

“When Westerhof was the Eagles coach, he only had one assistant. I see no reason the Nigerian team will have more foreign assistants when there are a lot of top coaches in Nigeria who don’t have jobs.

“The NFF claims they don’t have money, but they can afford to pay these expatriate coaches with foreign currencies, while abandoning the domestic ones.

“The foreign coaches’ impact has not been felt since Rohr took charge of the team. How can Nigerian coaches grow? The foreign coaches working in Nigeria collect the money and leave the country with nothing to show for it,” he said.

The Guardian recalls that last week, the NFF appointed more foreign assistants in the Super Falcons set up ahead of the France 2019 Women World Cup.

Sodje says the influx of the foreign coaches has not given Nigeria a playing pattern.

“In modern coaching, a team must be known for a pattern. What I think the Eagles need now is to have a solid defence. A good defensive coach will solve this problem. If you have a good defence and an organised attack, your team will excel.

“Nigerian defenders played well against Egypt in the international friendly, but you will also understand that the early goal affected Egypt players’ psyche. They almost dominated the game. Looking at the current Eagles defenders, for me Leon Balogun is a good defender, but you will observe that he cannot play two straight games because he is injury prone.

“The Nations Cup is tough due to the display of power by African teams. So can he withstand the pressure.” These are qualities the coach should be looking out for in Balogun and other Super Eagles players,”
all these ex-players don start again

Players and coaches always give the press a version of events that is not always the truth or a view for public consumption.

Do you think any player will express his disagreement with his manager in public or a Manager vice versa.

You really should know better this is really elementary reasoning and not befitting of someone of your standing.
Below is a coach blatantly lying about the quality of another player.

“Whenever you have players doing well, there’s always that type of speculation.
“I’ll be as determined as everybody at Wolves – we want to improve the team. Selling Dominic, we don’t think will help us.”

He added: “It’s difficult in football to predict exactly what’s happening and once you get into the realms of very, very big bids, it would be wrong to say it can’t happen, because we’ve seen it happen many times.

“It wouldn’t be my choice and for everyone at Wolves it is about wanting to build a team around Dominic.

https://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/4110/african-all-stars/2016/04/27/22861312/nigeria-target-dominic-iorfa-not-for-sale-wolves

The truth is that the manager did not rate Iorfa at all and lied about his quality.

I hope I am reasoning in secondary level.

No need telling us about what a coach told you about a player because they lie and surround is with fool's paradise.

Sodje is right. Nothing is spectacular in Rohr's tactics and style of play. It's more than huffing Ball up and down, hoping to pounce on a loose Ball based on Luck, rather working for it.

If indigenous Coaches had the same backing as Rohr, they would have delivered, but this is Nigeria - where don't value our own.

Oliseh managed a Club, to some extent, successfully. Late Keshi managed two national Teams apart from Nigeria, successfully with records breaking.

Siasia had top-class instincts with the U23 and U20 national Teams respectively. Amuneke is doing outstandingly well with Tanzania national Teams. Manu is unraveling Talents hidden in the country - yet we keep saying indigenous Coaches ain't good enough for the National Teams.

Back the indigenous Coaches, and the rest shall be history - coz they would deliver, entertaining, good football with trophies and medals.

Indegenous coaches wetin? Shay na that rubbish wey Oliseh do? What of Siasia and his rubbish choice of players? Nigerian coaches have proven that they are not good team managers. Rohr has so far done excellently well in that area. He is even now like the coordinator of our national teams as he has established a kind of synergy amongst all the age grade teams and the SE. Gone are the day when the U20, U23 and SE coaches would be fighting over a player. I remember John Obuh fighting with Siasia over Ahmed Musa. Also Siasia fighting with a then SE coach over Obinna Nsofor and some other of "his boys".

Chairman, abeg Rohr has brought sanity and discipline to the national team which is the first thing before you start talking about tactics.

Good.. But you have to understand that the environment under Rohr is very conducive for such synergy..Rohr is white and is paid in foreign currency...he is respected by NFF...Do you know there was a time NFF will release list of players for Amodu and Siasia...though they resolved such issues but...an African respects a white so much...above all ROHR LOVES TO COACH NIGERIAN TEAM...

From your points, Solanke might find himself in second division backwater league.

Please.....
Good morning Oga TheGoodJoe, how u deh ❓

It seems the entire core substance of my discourse is lost on you.

The core issue is ROLE and player attributes or if you like unique selling point or even BRAND.

Because Benteke and Solanke as well as Championship strikers Che Adams, Teemu Pukki, Grabben, all have the particular attribute that fits the particular and unique requirements of the Championship.

So the core question is can KC thrive in the physical intense, ( jam body) Championship albeit mixed with some technicality depending on the team.huhhuh Be honest, l know he is your son, but sometimes you have to give truthful advice not deceptive hype.

All the players I have mentioned do have the particular attributes required for the championship and that's why they will get clubs in the Championship easily and some will even move up to the EPL.

That's why the players i have mentioned will always get interest from the Championship and KC will not.

Solanke has the attributes of a true number 9, point man, although not proven at club level. Nonetheless, don't forget he got the golden boot at the U20 football world cup. He has great POTENTIAL that's yet to be realised. He didnt get any opportunities at Chelsea the same way KC got at Manchester city. Another reason he has been given the benefit of the doubt. He got some opportunity at Liverpool but very limited game time, l think he should have done a lot better.

His true test is NOW and what he does this season but more so next season. Otherwise he will become a "Wasteman " But whaaaaten concern us with Solanke Dude has no affinity to Nigeria at all. angry angry

Finally, with KC, there is the small matter of 4 goals in two seasons in the EPL. And currently this season he has scored just ONE GOAL. That record will not inspire confidence even at league one level.

So once again good morning my friend.
