Stupid! That is what you are if you believe and don't seek to understand so you can know how to make use of the power of Christ that is in you (though I'm wondering if that power is in you at all if all you do is believe).

I am very aware of the numerous instances in scripture where it says "believe", but I do insist in spirit that nobody says they believe that it is raining when they know that water is falling upon their head from the heavens. 'Belief' comes from a time when believing is what one did so I would expect many to merely believe just as satan appears to believe. But do you not tremble like satan trembles? Do you not live in fear and tremble despite all your believing?

I'm putting it to you that it is satan and believers who tremble in fear because they do not know what is pissing down on their heads but merely believe in their own imaginations! Think about it. You believe the power of our Lord Jesus Christ is inside of you but you don't appear to know whether it is inside of you or not!

Those who know and understand do not live in fear trembling. They walk through the valley of the shadow of death fearing no evil, not because they believe, but because they know that they are comforted by the rod and the staff of the Lord so tremble departs from them and goes into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and its angels who are cursed.

Seek ye therefore an understanding of the Word and you will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (i.e. sound judgment)"
- 2 Timothy 1:7

"Wisdom is of utmost importance, therefore get wisdom, and with all your effort work to acquire understanding."
- Proverbs 4:7

Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, whereas wisdom is having the understanding not to put tomato in a fruit salad nor in a fruit bowl.

The gospel and the kingdom of God is not a narrow dogma. Narrow dogmas fit rather well into narrow minds.

God may not ask to be believed and followed blindly, but 'Christians' themselves do ask God to be believed and followed blindly, and they, most of them at least, 'follow' God blindly themselves. After all, show me a "believer" (which is what most Christians are), who 'knows' God actually exists, or loves their neighbours as they love themselves, or would turn the other cheek when slapped, or the so much harder, sell what they have and give it to the poor. Or is it not by 'faith' that you are saved and not by the act of loving your neighbours which is how you are supposed to show you love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and being?

I guess the issue here is that most Christians might not be Christ followers and imitators. If they were the latter, they'd be using the power of Christ to bless the world by being salt and peacemakers instead of neighbour haters especially if those neighbours chose to worship other gods or none. Instead, they do what even satan does, stupidly and ignorantly believing since they haven't really got a clue to know.

There is nothing wrong in putting a tomato in a fruit bowl.

I know you’re trying to prove some sort of point with your comment but my comment you replied to, wasnt talking about what is or what's not wrong, it was highlighting the sharp distinction between knowledge and wisdom
