AS NEW WINNERS CHAPEL UNIVERSITY PROJECT KICKS OFF IN NASSARAWA

The church has commenced the construction of her 3rd university. Investigations revealed that the initial plan had been to build the third university in Calabar, Cross River state, before building the fourth in Abuja, the Federal Capital. However, due to the Nigerian governments desire to have a ‘world class’ university situated in the capital, pressure was mounted on the church authorities to reconsider and locate the third institution in Abuja and these may well have paid off. The National Universities Commission (NUC) thus visited Goshen, the site of the proposed university along the Abuja-Nassarawa Expressway. It was reported that they were impressed with the facilities they met on ground at the sight and the church authorities quickly corrected their impression and told them that the university construction was only about to begin and that the structures on ground were strictly for other church objectives. Requirements for the university construction is already available for deployment by the church which is known not to accept loans. Oyedepo stated that the university, just like Landmark University will be built without taking a single offering. As at 2016, over $200 Million had been spent on Landmark university. I think that request was made during Professor Julius Okogie's time as NUC's head under Goodluck's administration. Okogie and Okebukola who headed NUC during Gej and Obj era respectively liked the living faith education model...

However bishop's recent political alignment with opposition parties will certainly discourage NUC's current leadership from being overtly supportive.

At times when u people mention tithe,I laugh so hard.I have been a church worker all my life,how much are congregations paying as tithes,how much is being realized. How many people are faithful in paying tithes,some people even pay fake money..

Some churches have hundreds of full time pastors under them,how are they being paid?..It is from those tithes...Tithes are being used to run d church and d overhead of some churches are massive every month.Some churches have d policy of d local church keeping 10% of their income while they forward d balance to d center,this will be used to pay for all sundries.

If tithes and offerings were dt easy,Church like d Anglican will not be begging T.Y Danjuma to assist in the building of their University..If you look round,u will see churches dt are being built for years.

Yes,I know some pastors are manipulative but having a mega church with branches all over d places and you think those pastors got rich by tithe and offerings... ..Oga,think well,how will they take care of their overheads,wch runs into millions every month....Of course,some pastors are wealthy but not through tithe and offerings..

Yeah am pretty sure, angels from heaven come down to build those megs branches & edifices that keep springing up in every part of this country & abroad which by d way are own by the church.
