Our academies maintain ownership of these players and loan them to clubs so even when the player gets a move abroad, it is the academy that gets the money.

The clubs gain nothing in the long run. If they developed their own players, the issue of age cheating will reduce drastically as they would have groomed many of their boys from very young. Nigerian football as a whole will benefit.
Sorry but stop dreaming. The money would go in the same black hole that other monies go to get burned undecided . I can only focus on what this will mean for the players if they go to Europe that would be great regardless of who chops the money.

Lol

Cool down

You failed ,Ndidi is a defensive midfielder and not a central midfielder ,I consider him world class ,maybe you want him to score goals as if goals is for everyone.

Mikel is world class ,maybe you want him to play for stoke city and others Epl club before you will consider him world class

If mikel na white man you go call am world class ,you think say many of those player wey English media dey hype na world class?

Mikel is world class ,take it or leave it
That's not even my angle bro.

And I said earlier that the problem with ndidi is his passing

Once he improves on that, then he may begin to stake a claim as world class, but till then, he is above average at best

Everyone to his/her Opinion. Nigeria Football has passed the stage of celebrating Mediocrity, thus qualifying for AFCON ain't to me a Success worth celebrating by the football loving Nigerians.

So far..... I rate late Keshi over Rohr, and mind you - I am not under appreciating Rohr, neither hating on him. Late Keshi that we keep under appreciating, keep alleging of Corruption and Favoritism qualified Togo for their first ever World Cup - so what's the big deal with Rohr's Achievement so far with the Eagles?

The same Keshi had a successful Spell with Malian National Team as well, before he returned Home and guided Super Eagles to AFCON Title - yet even after death, he's still be calling Names on this Thread

Amuneke is doing fantastically well in Tanzania, repeating the same Feat late Keshi achieved away from home, yet our indigenous Coaches are sham. So we are in the class of Tanzania now?! Cos the same thing Rohr achieved with Eagles, Amuneke has done the same thing with Tanzania National Team.

Okay sha ,i agree with that passing side, you no lie for that one

But you no say all players get their weakness na

I even said he is not scoring, he is even a goal scoring DM, dude normally scores 3 per season

What is the meaning of world-class?

By my definition no Nigerian player is world-class.

Salah is world-class
Mane is world-class
Those are the only African world-class players in my book.

Aubemeyang is not world-class
Koulibaly is not world-class

They are the other Africans closest to being world class but not quite there yet.

Maybe we should thank Rohr for raising the bar since we were less than mediocre in 2015 and 2017.
Now we thank God that because of Rohr, we even know what mediocre looks like. wink

I want to win U-20 World Cup with Flying Eagles, Chukwueze

aoifootball.com | 2019-04-09T09:15:47+00:00

Nigeria’s rising star, Samuel Chukwueze has opened up on his invitation to the National U-20 camp ahead of June FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, insisting he wants to play and help the country lift the trophy for the first time, AOIFootball.com reports.

Having played for both the Super Eagles and the Dream Team VII already, the Villarreal player who is available for the U-20 hopes his club would release him to join up with the squad ahead of the Mundial.

Speaking exclusively to AOIFootball.com ahead of his team’s Europa League quarterfinal clash against Valencia, the 19-year-old noted that for now he can’t say much but hopes to have a clearer picture when the season ends in May.

“For now there is no date on my arrival to the team’s camp because you know the season is still ongoing and the club won’t release me.

“I’m always happy to play for the country at any level whenever I’m called upon and hopefully when the season ends in May I can have a clearer picture of how things will unfold but for now I can’t give an actual date of my arrival,” Chukwueze stated.

However, AOIFootball.com gathered that the Spanish club hopes to block the youngsters’ participation at the tournament as they fear he could suffer burn out ahead of the new season.

The 19-year-old is also an integral part of the Dream Team VII squad and could also feature in November’s AFCON U-23 Championship in Egypt should Nigeria go past Sudan in the final round of qualifiers.

The Flying Eagles have been drawn in Group D of the tournament alongside USA, Ukraine and Qatar and would begin their campaign against the 2022 World Cup host on May 24.

You can see? If it is Kenny Jackett talking good about Solanke then it is not fool's paradise.

Please...

The coaches are the best access to information on players when it involves things behind the scene.

Finito.
I would TOTALLY DISAGREE with you. The things players, agents and club staff have told me about Manager's if made public. If made public by an individual that person could get sued for defamation.

So there is a unwritten code of silence in these matters.

You have Kenny saying extremely good things about a player he has known and coached for several years. That opinion is strengthened by the interest expressed in him by multiple EPL clubs and a call up to camp with England first team.

Within days of the arrival of Nuno he is immediately frozen out not even allowed to train with the first team.

What would you call thathuh nothing said by Nuno, just s deafening silence, but his actions say a thousand words.

We agree to disagree.

If your cannot conceivably make a world select squad then you are not world-class. That's my opinion playas. wink

I thought the origin of this topic was Mikel and Ndidi, are they part of your 15 or 10 or whatever number of midfielders you may quote?

this is the only tournament that interest me currently in nigeria domestic scene...
how I wish I can have access to watch all the matches.... soon I pray the NFF get sponsorship in this light. ...or better still don't know how to contact the NFF with a business proposal for these under 15 tourney....
I see it as a lucrative venture....
The lucrativeness aside, that age grade league is the key to the golden age of football in Nigeria and Africa beyond. They should just keep it organized, keep the quality of coaching good and see the results in few years time.

You see the false structure! It should be Plateau United Academy/ u15...now tomorrow this mees palace will reap the entire benefit if they transfer a player abroad..PLATEAU UNITED WILL GET NOTHING FROM THE TRANSFER....So no development in Plateau,no renovation of stadium,no better payment for players,no coaching course for coaches...these laliga partnership is good but...but...but....
I echoed same sentiment sometimes ago...Most NPFL clubs don't have a well structured youth team..what they have are feeder teams filled with players in their 20s ... Normally,Plateau united shouldn't be allowed to participate in the tournament, but this is Nigeria......
