If the length of each side of the overall square is 5a the area A required is :
A = (54/5)a² + (357/4)a³

Sorry, I made a mistake in my calculation.
A = 6a²

The length of one side of the overall square is 5a

I thought it said find the area of the shaded pinwheel. For different square of various sizes, the area of the pinwheel will differ. huh
