Residents of Agbado Crossing/Oke-Aro will not have fond memories of the outgoing governor of Ogun State – Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

This is because of the atrocious condition of roads in those areas.

Agbado Crossing is located in Ifo local government area of Ogun state. It shares borders with Lagos state.

A great number of residents of Agbado earn their living in Lagos state.

The Agbado-Ishaga road interlink Ogun state with Lagos state.

The terrible state of the Agbado-Ishaga road makes vehicular movement quite frustrating, as motorists are made to move at snail speed.

A few years ago, the Ogun State government had embarked on some construction work from Sango end of Ogun through Ogbayo in Ijoko to Agbado Crossing down to Berger end of the State.

A lot of houses and other structures were pulled down. This was in a bid to build model roads that will bring development which was greatly lacking in the affected areas.

However, just like so many other projects in the Lagos/Ogun state border communities, the Agbado-crossing-Ishaga road will go unconstructed by the Ibikunle Amosun administration.

See photos of the Agbado-Ishaga road.

From Ifo to Abule Egba and Kola, both Ogun state and Lagos state governors have deprived those areas for years

Thanks Autojosh for bringing this to the attention of the world, my daddy's house is right next to that road ,in fact l used the road regularly to transit from my house to iju ishaga and Agege in Lagos state where l had my primary and secondary school education and I can tell you there has been no serious government presence on that road for over 15 years.
The funny things is that the house of a former chairman of the local government sits right in front of the road and he never thought of the need to do something about it, also the monarch of Agbado town has his palace too right across the road but seems unconcerned.
The Ogun state governor-elect Dapo Abiodun passed through the road when he came to solicit royal blessing from the Agbado monarch, I do hope the monarch brings up the issue of the road with him, otherwise there is no hope yet concerning its reconstruction.

People living around those border towns work in Lagos and pays their their taxes to the Lagos State Govt, while they sleep in OgunState, yet they will be expecting the Ogun State govt to use part of its scarce resources to repair their roads...unless a kind of synergy is formed between Lagos and Ogun govts, these border communities would keep suffering like this.

They all had the chance of voting for the man who has plan for Ogun Lagos Border towns but instead they voted for the highest bidder or probably enjoying the holiday break. Where as in Ogun State, Ifo local government has the third largest voters registration and all the gubernatorial candidate always want to win Ifo Lg and Agbado Ward. In Ifo LG, Agbado Ward has the largest vote, if all the votes in this Lg can be casted for a better candidate things will change around them and in Ogun State.

Ifo has more than 200k votes
Agbado has more than 30k votes

Welcome to Nigeria where masses must suffer and almost die before they can enjoy any social amenities. Abnormality has become normal to people living in that area, they are used to the sufferness it’s nothing to them anymore.

What a useless country

Yet some of the people that insult Abians because of their bad roads are people from Ogun State claiming Lagos.
I can bet you that apart from parts of Enugu – Onitsha Expressway (which is a federal road), no state road in Anambra State looks like this.
