What they don't want is happening, from one dictator to another for two years who will also put himself up for election just like sisi of egypt. Those Sudanese stubborn, the protest go continue until a neutral civilian interim leader is allowed to take charge knowing fully well the young soldiers are with them

Why are African military personnel so interested in governance
You have more coups and military takeover/ interference in Africa than anywhere else

They are just being overly-pompous because they have guns. Humor. Although, the reason this is happening more in Africa is because we give too much power to the military. In America, the military will not try to rebel because too much power is not given to them: powers there are evenly distributed — CIA,FBI,NSA, and many more rather than entrusting all powers to the military like in Africa

But even as a dictator, Omar El Bashir never sent Operation Python Dance like squad to go and kill his country men en mass in South Sudan.

Nigeria consumes the lives of people in Nigeria to remain one Nigeria.

two years of military is worse than 20 years of civilian rule

The civilians are worse than the military..... They can steal anything, even something that does not have value to them.

Are you lonely ? Are you rejected ? Are you broken? Do you feel abandoned?

JESUS has sworn never to forsake you .

We both need this from the LORD.

This is what you get when you keep treating your people like trash while throwing caution to the wind. One day Nigerian citizens will wake and say no to this lootcracy. Just one day.

Hope they hand him over qto ICC immediately. And the AU should make sure to ostracise the new junta once the two years are up and they refuse to keep to their promise.

This is a big lesson to African leaders who sit tight to the helm of affairs of their countries for centuries.
Gbam, l wonder what they gain by refusing to relinquish power? .

The ousted useless president of Sudan is wanted by the ICC for several human rights violations, I wish he can be handed over to the ICC to be prosecuted and jailed

The wind of change should sweep over Africa and sit tight despot like Bashir, Mugabe, Museveni etc should be jailed for all the atrocities committed while in power.

Buhari should learn from this and sit up or else, he will be flogged out of power as well, useless African leaders amassing wealth, while their citizens are dying of hunger and starvation angry

Not necessarily.
Depending on what a society wants/can afford to sacrifice.

Inherently, military governments are by their nature tough and "Generally" tend to be associated with repression of human rights. But like Alexander pope (an English poet) hinted:

"For Forms of Government let fools contest; whatever is best administered is best."

The military has an Important advantage of being decisive in terms of administrative execution of governments' responsibilities. It also does not suffer a grave ill of Democracy called Populism.

I am generally not a stickler for military governments (due to tendency for human right skirmishes) but a good military government, I believe, is not necessarily better or worse than a good democratic government.

A bad government is a bad government DISTINCT from its form. Consequently, there's no basis for saying that 2 yrs of military rule is worse than 20 years of civil rule.
