I didn't say it was your article. I was only pointing to the obvious grammatical blunders that litter the article. I blamed the writer, not you.

I don't think, she is that good though. Lateef has a lot of potential. I hope he keeps faith and try again in the next tournament.
.

Sophia Omidiji is a very good footballer. Apart from that 8:0 thrashing against France where everyone was abysmal due to many of them playing together for the first time, which other chance has she been given to prove herself? That was her first and last match for us. Not fair in my opinion especially now that we need all we can to have a good WC outing. To me,Sophia is our own female Jay Jay. Only that she finishes better.

Let me clear myself. I am not against his drop from the team but I am against the manner and the way they are trying hard to make us believe he didn't measure up in camp hence the drop. I can't buy that.

They should have simply said, we just gave him the chance to feel the national team hoping he makes the next one. Chikena.
No one made any statement officially about dropping Lateef.

Danielnino00:
All foreign born players coming into the national team should bear it in mind that they won't be treated specially cus they are FB... There are several hundreds of FB out there that can still play for Nigeria abeg... Manu Garba that we know won't have dropped Lateef if he was good enough! Was it not Manu that took a small Abdul Alfa to UAE 2013?

if Lateef wants to switch allegiance now,no problem... Soldier go, soldier come, barrack go remain!!
.

Oga,he's still a baby. 15 years na still pikin cheesy. It's natural to feel sad and frustrated especially if he gave it his all but still didn't make the cut. For those insulting him because of his absolutely natural reaction to the whole thing,y'all should stop. He never asked for special privileges just cos of he's a FB or his skin colour. He fought dearly for a shirt but unfortunately things didn't work out. I know Lateef to an extent and if anything,he sincerely adores this nation with all his heart. Same with his older sister and two little brothers. So guys, take a chill pill already wink

Why bring him in the first place? Dropping Jordan supports the fact that coaches sometimes do make big blunders.
That coach was a nobody first of all but only the future can tell if it was a good or bad decision by Manu. There is no reason to overreact.

Interview with Divine Nwachukwu, top scorer in the Under 15 Africa youth games last year.

He is part of the under 17 team to the AFCON.

Osimhem and Favour Akem in 2016. Favour Akem failed the MRI test for the 2019 under 17 AFCON.

The boy na pikin na. I’m sure most of the other boys who missed out also cried. These are young boys na. It’s okay for him to cry. They had big dreams of representing Nigeria. Let’s not make it a big issue. He couldn’t match the competition. He will live to fight another day. I’m sure Manu already consoled him like he did the other boys who also missed out, and their parents will also console them.

Although Omidiji won’t be eligible for the next U17, who knows, MRI may knock out a few more players before the World Cup and he could just make the cut. But he has to show he is among the best strikers in the team to deserve it
Danielnino00:
I repeat again, "soldier go,soldier come, barrack go remain"! Nigeria has the largest population in Africa.. There's football talent scattered everywhere! we shouldn't deprive some people of the chance to represent just because somebody is foreign born! .all players should be given a level playing field..

Lateef is 15 he is still eligible for the next u-17 and in fact he might even still make the works cup list if we qualify,so what the hell is he crying for? Maybe he was under the delusion that he would be given an automatic shirt cus he is foreign born...

The Manu Garba we know is fair in his player selection and can identify a talent when he see one,so I refuse to believe that there was a conspiracy against the boy...

We should relax on this obsession for foreign born players! it won't do us any good in the long run.

Manu saw the U-15 tournament so he should have known Lafeet wasn't good enough for his team. But why did you call someone you know is not good for the team?
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:03am On Apr 12, 2019
My campaign has been give ONLY the deserving a chance to compete. Lateef on his part got his chance time and time again. He will live to fight another day just like other boys who missed out this time.

Danielnino00:
It wasn't so long ago that this thread was rocked by massive call from the foreign born crew that Josh Maja should be called up to the super eagles with the excuse that we will loss him to England soon...
"Lion in a big league" they called him... Now Maja is at a bigger club and a bigger league, but what has he done? has he justified the hype he got while playing in the fishermen league one?

I'm not against the inclusion of foreign born player into any level of the national team at all.. All I want is that the same rule should apply to all players whether foreign born or not. There should be a level playing ground!!

I don't know why some people are of the opinion that filing our national team with foreign born players will improve it...
Morocco have the best league in Africa and some of the best infrastructure too.. they invest a lot in their youth team but end up filling the senior team with foreign born players... what have they achieved by doing thathuh

Rohr I give u 100% for this department
charlesemeka85:
Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has hinted that some Super Eagles stars will beef up the Nigeria U20 National Team ahead of their trip to Poland for the Fifa U20 World Cup.

Although names were not mentioned by the German, the likes of Enyimba duo Ikouwem Udo and Valentine Ozornwafor, who were handed maiden call-ups to the Super Eagles last month, plus Villarreal's Samuel Chukwueze are eligible to represent the Flying Eagles.

Rohr also plans to monitor the outstanding Golden Eaglets stars just as the Dutch coach Clemens Westerhof, who promoted Nwankwo Kanu and Victor Ikpeba to the senior national team after they impressed for the youth team.

''It will be interesting to be together with the U23s, they play on the 5th and 9th of June, so we can work together. We must have a good relationship with this team, with my assistant Imama,'' Rohr told the Super Eagles Youtube channel.

''We also have to watch the U20 World Cup which takes place in Poland, starting end of May. Some of our players will be there, so we need a good relationship with everybody even the U17 which is the future.

''I know that my colleague Clemens Westerhof was discovering some big players in the U17 World Cup, like Victor Ikpeba.

''We also have Osimhen, we work for the future even if I am not here. We work for the future of Nigeria''.

The Super Eagles are expected to begin their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations preparations in Nigeria before moving camp to a different climate.

Omidiji will be 17 on September 12, 2020. How he wan take participate for the next U17 WC?

TheGoodJoe:
Me Be little English Nigerian born? How?

Stop lying.

I even used Kelechi Nwakali's case of not making it in Iheanacho's set and later becoming the best in the next one to highlight that Lateef being dropped does not mean he lacks the talent to excel.

So how did you come up with such narrative of belittling?

Pls guys lets drop this lateef argument ... E dn do... Rohr is corrupt , we gree, dats y he did take kayode nd d ajagun, instead he carry impotent strikers.... manu is corrupt, dats y omidiji was dropped, we agree, case closed... No one knows tomorrow. The boy can become another Ronaldo or Messi in the future. But let us respect Manu's decision to drop him now due to his current form. News emanating from camp says he fell short. So? Why still take him along?

I don't even know why this is an argument in this first place.

We have to leave with the MRI rules. It will keep on cutting out some quality under aged players but as long as it reduces age cheating, we should keep working with that.

Praying for the best for those kids who were dropped due to one reason or the other. Keep working hard because there are better opportunities ahead.

Grow wings all young Golden Eaglets. You are all part of the team.

Thanks to them for their services in the process.
