He was called and assessed closely and was found to have not been not up to scratch.

So it has reached the stage where Nigeria are inviting FB players even for the U-15 tournaments? What next? We should invite those in the wombs as well

My people, we have definitely lost our way. Let I had said, we should let all these FB cadet players stay where they are based and develop their games. We've got enough talent here at home to build a solid U-15, U-17, and even U-21 teams.

Lateef has been with the u-15 team since last year.. He participated in a tournament in Morocco(or was it Algeria?) where we came second self.. Obviously, his performance with the u-15 earned him a call up to the u-17... I believe a few boys from the u-15 were invited to train with the u-17 too...

Take a look at this pic... that's Lateef with Suleiman Lawal at the u-15 camp last year.. Those who have seen Suleiman clips will attest to how good he is I daresay he is better than Lateef..both boys are still eligible for the next u-17 set... I haven't seen Suleiman crying anywhere for not making the list,but u want us to be sad for Lateef?

Anyways, can't help feeling sad for the young man though.

He actually ranted at officials when he was dropped from what i am hearing. He complained that Divine Nwachukwu joined the camp later than him and was selected. I think Nwachukwu is a better player.

sometimes i doubt if you truly live in the US you claim..because someone who have lived in diaspora for up to 10 years with the possibility of having kids someday who will be in same shoes with this kids won't utter such words

what many lack when they start to grow and attain stardom is the requisite discipline to keep their dreams alive..
that's where these foreign born lads beats the Local groomed..... they have the possibility to keep progressing and getting better.

After thar SA defeat, he has scored 21 goals in 9 competitive Games against African oppositions. Averaging 2.3 goals per game. Meaning averagely he scores 2 or 3 goals per game. Is it until when he scores average of 4 or 5 goals per game?

Roghr might not be top notch tactically but he delivers which includes scoring goals and winning.

We saw how he was conspicuously benched during the U-15 tournament. What they made us believed then was he wasn't good enough to start but we saw what happened when he came on to play.

How do we know the same was not played out?

Seems to me that his philosophy is that as long as you can outscore your opponents, it's all good. So it's not uncommon to see high scoring results (both for and against) in games his team plays. This philosophy works for him most times, and his team is always very exciting to watch. However, I'm particularly concerned about this current set because he has lost quite a few of his starters. Three of them are first choice players in the defence line: goalkeeper, right full back and left full back. From the little information I gathered about the team build-up post-WAFU Zone B Tournament, it doesn't seem that they are as enterprising as the previous sets. Anybody has some moral-boosting, albeit realistic expectations?

Very, very good going forward.. Not great defensively.

I believe they will qualify for the WC. There is more than enough talent in the team
