The last time I checked they are/were German youth players.
Last time I checked, they are ripe for the senior national team...
Lateef too is a Nigerian u-15 player.

Oga, these players have been with the team from the U16 to the U21 team. Big difference.

Thank you, my dear. Some folks here may not wanna hear it but I will keep saying it: foreign born 15 and 17 year old kids should be left alone to develop their games in their birth countries. We have dozens of academies and thousands of high schools in Nigeria with gluts of football talents waiting to be discovered. How do we encourage and develop our local born talents if we have to run overseas to pick every tom, dick, and harry? How do you know that the 15 year old you're inviting from America is better than the 15 year old in a local high school somewhere in Surulerehuh

Bottom line, the U15s and the U17s kids should rep the countries of their residence. Once they show us that they are good enough then we can invite them for the U20s and U23s.

O pari

My brother the thing tire me ooo.. and to think that some folks have developed an obsession for these FBs make the whole thing rather pathetic!

Lateef is just 15 and has been with the national team since he was 13 or so...

Where's the big difference??

They continued to grow with the youth system but Lateef didn't progress to the U17. Big difference.

There will be two u-17 set this year...for the afcon and the world cup.. I would have said we should wait for the world cup to see if he will make the team, but if what Tbaba said is anything to go by,he is no longer interested....

Not every tom, dick and harry was invited. There were just like 5 of them and 2 made the team. 5 out of hundreds of local players that were screened.

Talents who are interested can be invited for screening. You can not abandon them when they want to play for you and then start looking for them when they explode.

Mbappe wanted to play for Cameroon but someone was asking for money. Look at Mbappe today.

As long as the coaches are given the free hand to make the choices. There is nothing wrong in camping them.

No, remember it is a 24 team tournament and not 16 team. Remember 3 teams may qualify from each group. We may not necessarily face a team from group A in the next round.
