I dont wanna be a kill joy, buh I would advise u lot celebrating this draw to pipe low for now. Remember Rohr is the kinda coach that goes to tournaments to experiment, rather than participate, on the false pretense that "my team is young and this is just a learning curve for them". Brace up for more excuses in Egypt. He did it Russia.
this looks like you're just hating on Rohr.

I don't care what team he fields, there is no reason why we shouldn't top that group with ANY group of players. Do you see Argentina there? Did somebody hide a Croatia in that group? Did pundits give Nigeria a chance at the World Cup?

Abeg, this your post is better suited for Facebook. I'm sure lots of people will be happy to take you up on it

You ARE a killjoy. Simple and short.

There is no justifiable reason for this amount of pessimism. We struggled against world class teams at the WC yes, but Burundi and Madagascar is nothing remotely near the quality of Croatia and Argentina. Even if I were to take charge of the SE I will come out on top of that group. Even if we were to go to Egypt with a 100% home based team, we would still beat them like a drum.

But he has a very big point. And yes, there is need for us to beware. Our coach killed the confidence of our players before they started any WC match. Its only rational to expect him to downplay our chances at the AFCON.

In fact, if we don't finish top, make dem sack Rohr
If we don't finish with 9 points, he should be placed on probation

There is a proverb in Igbo that loosely translates to "I do not need to ask God for help before going into a fight with someone I am stronger than".

Rohr fretted against the big boys. Now Burundi and co should be sweating and pissing in thier pants, not us.

In my opinion, Groups A and D are tough groups. The DRC and Uganda are no pushovers. CIV, SA and Morocco na real battle. Ours look good on paper, hope we don't struggle.

Why do I have this feeling that first thing tomorrow morning you will be off to your village to consult a dibai to get make u a charm that will lead to our downfall at the tournament so u can come here and say "I told u so"? grin

Trust me, I don't like the way Rohr manages our games sometimes with his poor decision making and tactic, but as long as he remain the super eagles coach, I'll support him.. If I can't support the manager, then I'm not a super eagles fan..

let the tournament come first.. if he fails I trust the NFF to do the needful

Good evening bro

By telling you Ivory Coast have better players than naija doesn't means they can win us ,I stand on my words that they have better players than us but that doesn't mean we can't win them, remember we won them during the 2013 afcon

As for Ghana I don't rate them anymore and I have never rated Ghana ,so what are you trying to say concerning Ghana ?

Group A: Egypt, DR Congo, Uganda, Zimbabwe

Group B: Nigeria, Guinea, Madagascar, Burundi

Group C: Senegal, Algeria, Kenya, Tanzania

Group D: Morocco, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Namibia

Group E: Tunisia,Mali, Mauritania, Angola

Group F: Cameroon,Ghana, Benin, Guinea-Bissau

Coming with my analysis soon.
My analyses:

Overall, good draws. And I think the FIFA ranking did justice to the placement of teams into pots as this actually represents the recent forms of the teams.

Note that 2 teams will qualify automatically from each group and 4 best 3rd placed teams will join them in the second round.

Group A: Egypt are hosts in this group and likely to be one of two automatic qualfiers. DR Congo are likely to be the other team but Uganda and Zimbabwe also have an outside chance to finish among the top 2. If Uganda can wrestle out a draw against DR Congo and beat Zimbabwe, they are good to go. I see this group producing 3 qualfiers.
Prediction: Egypt, DR Congo and Uganda to go through.

Group B: Nigeria are overwhelming favorites here. Guinea comes second. Madagascar were excellent in their qualfiers but I don't think they have what it takes to get points against Nigeria and Guinea. Their best chance is to beat Burundi and hope 3pts will take them to the next round. As for Burundi, they have the least chance in this group. I predict only 2 to advance from the group. However if Madagascar can upset either Nigeria or Guinea will a draw, a win against Burundi may see them through.
Prediction: Nigeria and Guinea go through.

Group C: Senegal and Algeria are likely to claim the top spots here. However, if one of Kenya and Tanzania can raise their game they may pick a point from either Senegal or Algeria and so the game between Tanzania and Kenya will determine if a 3rd team will advance from this group. I predict 3 teams will make it from this group.
Prediction: Senegal, Algeria and Tanzania

Group D: Morocco and Ivory Coast maybe favorites to go through but South Africa has what it takes to give them a running for their money. This is the very group of death. As for Namibia they have the least chance here. I predict 3 teams to qualify from here as even if South Africa loses to Morocco and Ivory Coast they can beat Namibia with a fairly good merging and 3pts with good GD may see them through.
Prediction: Morocco, Ivory Coast and South Africa go through.

Group E: Tunisia and Mali will go through. I don't see Mauritania and Angola giving much of a fight here. I predict 2 teams to advance from this group but this also depends on the outcome of the game between Mauritania and Angola as a win for any of the two will earn them 3pts which may also be enough to see the 3rd team through. But I recon the relatively wide margin defeats from Tunisia and or Mali may negate any GD they earn from winning their last game. I see only 2 teams qualifying from here.
Prediction: Tunisia and Mali qualify.

Group F: This group is almost like a mini WAFU competition. Ghana and Cameroon are overwhelming favorites but I recon Benin (especially) and Guinea Bissau to give Cameroon (in particular) a running for their money. I see 3 teams advancing from here. And just like in the other groups the game involving Benin and Guinea Bissau will determine if a 3rd team will advance from here.
Prediction: Ghana, Cameroon and Benin.

Note that my analysis have been done based on pedigree on the continent, however tournaments are not without upsets. Teams from East Africa are having their highest representation ever. If there are any teams poised to create upsets I look forward to 2 teams from that Region: Uganda and Tanzania as Dark horses. One or both of these two teams may actually prove book makers wrong and finish among the top 2 in their respective groups.

By and large, we look forward to a very exciting AFCON. June please come quickly cheesy
