Multiple reports have it that Feyenoord teen sensation, Lateef Omidiji Jr who plays in Netherlands, might not be interested in playing for Nigeria again after previously switching allegiance from the United States.

This was after he was dropped from the Golden Eaglets list for African Cup of Nations AFCON U-17 to be held in Tanzania. The 15-year-old wonder kid deleted all pictures associating him with the Green and White National colours of Nigeria on Twitter and wrote; "move on wit international football...

According to reports, the family of the US born player believed that he has done enough to be included in the final list of 21 players for the tournament and suspected his exclusion was beyond football reasons.

Lateef is still eligible to play for USA and the Netherlands which he’s said to be really considering.

Lateef Omidiji Jr has made history as the first youngster to be called up to the Nigerian U-17 national team at age 15. Omidiji Jr has been in the news and in the eye of many top scouts because of his footballing brightness alongside his crude ability to score goals.

Watch video of the youngster below.

Dear Lateef,

You're not the only wonder kid in the nest, there are so many other MORE talented player than you who didn't got the coach call up but are still rooting and supporting the Golden Eaglets.

So many half caste players like Gabriel Agbonlahor, Angelo Ogbonna and Ola John are still regretting their rash decision. Don't be like them, kindly wait for your time, you might just be our own Kylian Mbappe. (You even resemble Mbappe sef)

Goodluck to the Golden Eaglets today.

But a simple DNA ancestry test will still show 99.9% affiliation with Nigeria. Dude should pack one side abeg.

Goodluck to the Golden Eaglets today.

Lateef was treated poorly by the U15 Coach at the last Afcon.
I believe that demoralized the young lad psychologically at the U17 camp.

Dude didn't give his best and he was dropped.
Manu Garba for me is the only Nigerian coach that I know whom to a large extent is fair and transparent. The young lad should be patient and keep working his socks off,he may still have a chance of making the U17 squad for the World cup.

For the records, he still has Nigerian flag on his profile. He comes from a family blessed with immensed football talent. Even his elder sister deserves a look in by Super Falcon Coach,Dennerby.

Dude had a bad experience with the Cadet Coaches at the U15's.So he is not too blame if he reacts the way he did.

He should wait patiently for his time.
Who knows he may be our own Pele.

The kid is just bitter,he will get over it.
He needs our support and love.

Yeah, you're correct, but I feel the young lad is walking into the part of self destruction if not advised properly now.... Patient still remains the keyword.

The sister, Sophia is my very good friend on Twitter and also talented. I dey eye the girl sha. grin

He needs to calm down.

Sophia is a bundle of skills with superb finishing but its a pity previous female coaches of Nigeria consider her fragile. The present coach don't even rate her at all.

So you see my friend, this is where the animosity is stemming from. His elder sister was treated poorly so was he.
What will make his younger siblings consider playing for Nigeria?.

Trash. How do you know that they are regretting their decisions?

Besides, not playing for Nigeria doesn't mean he wouldn't support the Golden Eaglet. The young chap should do what sits right with him.

They never had the opportunity of playing at the World cup. If you are still in doubt, ask Shola Ameobi why he decided to wear the green white green shirt at the twilight of his career

Manu Garba is fair who told you that? What happens in the age grade national teams is mind boggling.Latif never really stood a chance,if the truth must be told. They came with oyinbo mentality that everything is based on merit, they forgot to grease the fingers of those that matter. Moreover, he was playing against players far older and stronger than him.At 15 playing against 20something years old.No chance.

The Nigeria's U-17 team is super talented.
Just this afternoon before hundreds of Tanzanian fans watching at Dar El Salam national stadium, the Nigeria's squad destroyed them by 5-4.

Lateef shut up there and work hard if u are good I will have seen and heard of u.
Seriously, even the country you acclaim to play for don't know you or won't need you. the only country that could have even allowed you to a distance is France if you like ask Gabriel Agbolahor, Ola John, Jordon Ibe,etc none of the country use them for even 90mins. YOU BETTER SHUT UP AND WORK HARD.
